Casa Tago provided exactly what I needed ... clean bed near airport ($8 taxi, or $5 Uber to/from SJO). The included breakfast was ample and pleasant. Didn't try the pool, but it looked refreshing. Great friendly/family-like staff. Shared bathroom in the hall.

What a gem! Our family of 4 adored staying at Casa Tago. We spent 3 days and 2 nights and could have stayed longer. Generous and kind hosts, tasty breakfasts, strong coffee, a refreshing pool, and perfectly located to explore Alajuela.
