The room was nice, but a bit small for us, a family of 4. The bathroom was too small, I couldn't wash my face in the sink without hitting my head on the shelf and tap. There was a mini fridge, but no microwave, which the kids asked about for their restaurant leftovers. There was a coffee maker, but it only made espresso, which was fine but I'd prefer a full cup of coffee in the morning. The location of the hotel was great for seeing the city, but I would try a different hotel next time.

The Rodd Charlottetown was a lovely, older hotel. The room we had was very clean but small and dated. It could use an upgrade. There was some constructions work being done on the outdoor property. However, the dining room and food/pricing was excellent. The restaurant manager, Vinny, was superb. The bar, where I held a small family reunion party, was also very good. Vinny, the restaurant manager, was the person who was in charge of my event which went extremely well. Again, he was exemplary. We would come back to this hotel, mainly due to the staff, but book a different room type. Very good overall.

We spent 3 days at the Rodd and enjoyed our stay. Very convenient location and walkable. It is an older property but has a historic charm and seems well maintained. The room was on the smaller side but the beds were comfortable. There is a mini fridge, which is very helpful when you have kids snacks or leftovers from dining out. The staff was always very courteous and helpful. Ample parking behind the hotel & a nice 10 minute walk to the waterfront

I liked the convenience of the hotel's location in downtown Charlottetown but we were very dissapointed at the lack of control over the many young children who were running freely up and down our hallway until 10:30 PM yelling and banging on guest room doors with hockey sticks. As well, I would be remiss if I didn't point out the potential danger posed by the cabinet immediately above the only bathroom sink in our room. Its poor design prevents one from being able to wash and shave safely.

Venerable hotel with renovated bathroom. Great dining room but closed for dinner during stay due to 'Chef issues'. Noisy during weekends when small children are guests. Thermostat didn't work, no way to add heat - same problem when I last stayed at Rodd Charlottetown three years ago. One needed to wait five minutes for warm water to arrive - then all is good!

This hotel is my favourite place to stay in C-town where I go frequently for family reasons. It is clean and comfortable and retains much of its 1930s character. The staffing has changed a lot in recent years and is not as friendly, but I have no specific complaints. The location cannot be beat.

Pros: Beautiful building and excellent location. Walk to everything in Charlottetown. Bed was very comfortable. Cons: parking was free but lot was always full. Paper thin walls. Restaurant was heavily advertised in hotel but reservations required for breakfast. Not something you want to find out with two hungry young kids.

Nice hotel especially for adults. A little fancy for the kids and rooms are a bit small but we enjoyed our stay.

Overall the experience was good. It was clean, and the staff was polite. If air quality is an issue for you, you might consider somewhere else as the ventilation is poor. The location is ideal for families, close enough to downtown and Victoria park. The french toast in the dining room is also spectacular!

Free Parking within the hotel area is very limited. Room accommodation is below expectation. Room is pretty tight for a family of four. There were some issues with the door locks. Washroom vanity was poorly installed and a safety concern.
