We stayed at this hotel because our daughter was at a tournament at Burnaby Lake, so the location was convenient. However, we found the hotel very dated and the room was small and a bit dingy. The worst part was the extra sleeping area with the pull-out couch. This area has frosted glass windows that face the hallway and only wooden venetian blinds that don't block the light from the hallway. So, when sleeping on the pullout couch, the room is so bright. The main part of the room (with 2 beds) was so small that one of the beds was right up against the air conditioner, which meant if we wanted that on, cold air was blasting on the person sleeping in that bed. The small kitchen area was okay but it would have been nice to have a toaster. On a positive note, the restaurant did a great job of serving our large group and the food was good. The kids also enjoyed the pool.

Im disappointed that there was no me run of the parking fee when I booked through Expedia. It was clean and the kids had fun in the pool. Nice to have a microwave,

Overall our stay was okay. Staff at check in did not provide a wifi code, but we got it the next morning in the restaurant. Room 223 needs a paint job to bring it up to par. No room service menu either. Although they tried to do something neat by having the glass blocks in the hallways, it creates extra light all night long in the living room area of the suites and it allows for more noise. The hide a bed is not a hide a bed. It is a torture bed. That is the thinnest hide a bed I have ever experience. I seriously have bruising on my hips from sleeping on the bed. Do NOT plan to use the hide a bed cause any child is going to be up all night til 2am once the noise stops and will wake again by 7am once all the noise of doors starts again. Unless of course you are someone who can sleep through construction!!

Spacious room, good amenities, comfortable and convenient. Would have gave it 5 stars but toilet was easy to clog, water temp in shower was not hot as it should be and tub had no drain plug for kids to take a bath. Small things, overall great place.

We chose this hotel because it was convenient to the amenities we were going to utilize. However, we were disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. We were also very disappointed when arriving in our room - I will explain - we booked a room with a separate bedroom ( with a door that closes) - so our younger child could go to bed earlier, and not be disturbed with the noise from the rest of the family. The bedroom door could not close, the bed was in the way. When we asked about this, it was shrugged off - the hotel was renovated two months ago, and a mistake was made. Not really getting what you pay for. Concerning as well if this is a fire door - which cannot be closed - it is useless. The room was beat up, patches on the walls, looked like it was half way through the renovation, but customers were still put into the room.

Very good room for those travelling with kids. Only about 20 minute drive to downtown and Gastown areas. Nice pool and hot tub too.
