Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Strathmore

I wouldn't recommend this for even 1 night. Upon arriving the lobby was dirty. No staff available to check in, just a sign that they will be back. The lobby started filling up with people. Then lots of kids, apparently they rent out rooms for birthday parties? My room is from the 90's, old, dated, dark and dreary. Mustard yellow carpet and walls, dirty worn carpet. Bed lumpy and not comfortable. Room smelled of toxic air freshners and cleaners. The room above me is not soundproof, so much noise and banging. I went upstairs to investigate and a family was just checking out?!? Went to the front desk to complain and no manager on duty,staff member could care less, says manager will call me. The morning, breakfast is basic at best. Even the oatmeal is old. My bathroom door handle is broken, so is shower head. Went to front desk and Brandi says they will fix it, then says that the noise is normal and to expect it with Hockey season and hockey teams staying every weekend. A complete lack of empathy, says they will credit me $30 for my trouble. I'm presently staying at Marriott, 1 million times better. The Wyndham brand is complete garbage!

Overnight in Strathmore on our way home. Really good sized room with a couch and two beds. Good for a family on the go.

Check in/ out very fast & hassle free. Staff members go out of their way to assist. Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family

The jr suite was larger than regular rooms and it was needed after driving all day with 4 kids!

Everything about the property was great and the staff were very helpful, especially the cleaning staff. What I did not appreciate is the 3 men in the lobby when our family returned from Banff late one night, they were sitting there openly drinking. When my nephew and I passed they yelled “where you going?” And scared us both. We just walked straight to the elevator without saying a word. I was not aware we were able to openly drink alcohol in a hotel lobby that doesn’t serve alcohol. Other than this incident the hotel was great.

Room was clean and spacious. Bathroom was nice. Pool was big and the kids enjoyed the water slide

The pool chlorine was very strong, both of my kids had strong reaction in the form of eye irritation after swimming.

Nice property. Good room and breakfast options. There were lots of kids (10 and under) running around the main floor, screaming until 11pm, and no staff attended to this problem. We had to open our door and talk to them, so we could get some sleep.

Pool was under maintenance and unavailable while the kids were excited to utilize it. Parking was highly overpriced. Overall okay experience 6/10.

The pool and hot tub (yes even the hot tub) were set to 72°, it was extremely cold. We came with a toddler who was very disappointed as they were excited for the pool. As we tried to swim, two other families joined and promptly left because it was too cold and the children were almost shivering after 10 minutes. This was brought up to the front desk who said they would “contact a manager”. No one ever showed up and unfortunately nothing was remedied during our stay.
