I had booked two rooms for an event and selected the wrong dates. On the date of the actual booking, I was unable to fulfill my stay due to a death in the family. Due to the booking being a non-refundable rate, management was unwilling to work with me to arrange alternative dates or cancellation even after I suggested I’d pay a fee for adjusted accommodations. Being a repeat customer, staying there several times for business trips, I was very disappointed by the cold response I received from this establishment and would caution doing any business with them. On the day of the booking, I was able to utilize one of the rooms due to another extended family crisis buy this development was not the result of any assistance by Coast.

Stayed here in the winter and it was great! Enjoyed spacious rooms and toilet warmer/bidet The pool gym hot tub are great but too many kids this time Staying in the summer was not as good, the air conditioning is barely air conditioning My room was a sweat box and nothing I could do about it I couldn’t keep the drapes open because the sun would glare in and make it even hotter so it felt dark and depressing on top of it

Didn’t have Credit Card because of my age and was simply told that I had no options whatsoever as a work-around for the damage deposit. 19 yrs old and had driven to the hotel from another province and they essentially told me despite my hotel being paid for in full and nowhere else to stay I can’t unless me or my partner have a credit card. Until I got a family member to call and supply a credit card, ( which they had originally told me WAS NOT an option ). After having finally gotten in after desperately trying to deal with the situation, I was treated with extremely condescending staff.

You could hear footsteps in the room above us so clearly and at 6 AM the room above us must’ve had small children that started running around and it was so loud that we couldn’t sleep. We waited for it to stop after just over an hour we complained. We were so frustrated that we just packed up and left by 730. When we talk to the staff member downstairs, she told us we should’ve called security.

I stayed for 3 nights with my two kids. For the first two nights everything was fine. However, on the third day, the air conditioner on the whole property failed. This was in the summer so the temperature in our room was unbearable which basically meant we couldn't stay in the room. Eventually the AC was repaired but it took until well after 11 pm that the room temperature became comfortable. Staff at the front desk had mentioned that inciuid get some kind of refund for the third night since we couldn't use the room for a full day. However, at time of checkout I was told that the manager was not at the hotel to approve the refund. I was told I would be receiving a call from the manager later that day. I didn't. I called the hotel for a couple of days following my stay and always got the same response: the manager wasn't in but would call me as soon as they arrived. This was more than a week ago and I'm still waiting for that call. Needless to say, after being misled like this I cannot recommend this hotel and will not be staying there again.

We stayed at the Coast as it was easy to get to and from a 4 day event in the ICE District. Hotel staff were wonderful. The room was great. The pool was open until 11PM so the kids loved that! We ate a delicious dinner at Preston's. Edmonton's downtown area is a bit sketchy, but we were 2 female adults and 2 female children and we felt safe walking - not out after dark though.

We weren’t told that the parkade didn’t have an elevator to the hotel. Had to drag luggage And a baby down two flights of stairs and were still charged $20 for parking. The hotel room is not like the pictures. Quite rundown, rooms smells like it has been smoked in and the food was inedible and had to ask for a refund

We stayed in a junior suite which was a large space. The bathrooms need an a definite upgrade. The bath mats and plastic shower curtain was very yellowed and vile looking! Parking was not good since there was a conference and two hockey games during our stay. People just left their cars in the middle of the lot and blocked others in during the hockey game! Customer service was quick and efficient as was the service in Preston’s for breakfast. Overall, it was a good stay and for the price we paid, we would consider returning again in the future.

"but its game day you need to be accommodating sir" we booked two rooms as i have a large family the put us on 4th floor and 7th floor. hard to mange kids 2-5 on different floors "but its game day sir you need to be accommodating sir" . they over sell parking and if you cannot find parking you have to find it on your own and the shrug their shoulders "but its game day you need to be accommodating sir" they gave us a regular room, which we wanted daughter is allergic to pets but they put us on a pet friendly floor, so the halls where covered in pet hair. when i asked to change they said no rooms left because its game day. we booked 6 weeks ago not last minute "but its game day you need to be accommodating sir" they would not even move us the next day after the game day as we had used our room the staff and the mangers made us feel unwelcome and unwanted , almost like we should be kissing their feet to stay with them. "but its game day you need to be accommodating sir"
