Amazing place to stay with the family. Great accommodations, food is delicious, and close to Banff town. I highly recommend this place if you’re considering coming.

I had a great birthday celebration with my family at Buffalo Mountain Lodge, located in Banff, which I booked through Expedia. Thankfully, I received a $25 credit as a gift from Expedia, and I intended to use it after dining at the restaurant inside the lodge. However, for some reason, it took over 40 minutes to process the payment, causing significant inconvenience. With the hope that the lodge's counter staff or system, which made the received gift feel less valuable, will improve, I am leaving this feedback.

Took both a summer and a winter trip to Banff. Stayed here between Christmas and NYE. Very charming place, across the street from the shuttle that takes you into town. More quiet than the Banff street hotels since it is away from the hustle and bustle, yet very easy to go downtown ( we actually took the 30 minute walk daily). Each room has a fireplace, the bathroom floors are heated. Bathrooms have both a shower and a tub and plenty of towels. There is an outdoor jacuzzi and a firepit. We sighted some wild animals ( mostly deer ) nearby, but bears come close to town as well ( we saw one at the outskirts of Baff during our summer trip). The restaurant has good food and whenever we asked for service ( like lighting up the fireplace), someone was in our room almost immediately. The beds were fluffy, the bed sheets sparkling clean and white and very comfortable. Great place to stay with family, or as a romantic getaway.

We had a lovely stay at Buffalo Mountain Lodge. Our room was lovely and the view exceptional. It felt private and close to nature. The hot tub was a favourite with the kids, and the food was delicious!!! I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

I like the elk that was right infront of our balcony. She was just chilling there. Constantly nibbling the grass. Antonio, helped me with the check in/out, the nicest person in Banff. The shorter lady at the Prow Restaurant though was the opposite. She refused to serve my family for dinner because we went without a reservation, but the nice tall girl came into our rescue. She gave us a table, served us really well. So thank you Antonio, tall girl, and the elk.

This was our 2nd stay and we will go again! Beautiful rustic coziness. Love the wood burning fireplace and dog friendly atmosphere. The food is very very good, except the bread is nothing special. Modern bar, nice hot tub. Slow to get food in restaurant when dining in but likely due to sold out family day weekend. We will definitely stay here again and again.

We stayed here for 3 nights - May 6 to 9, 2022 CONS - Customer service from front desk staff, hassle of checking in, room dusty/unkept Checking in was such a hassle. We got in the hotel late coming from an all day of travelling. First, they gave us the wrong room. Booked premier room with 2 queen beds (we have 2 kids) and they gave us a room with only 1 queen bed. Husband went back to front desk but they kept insisting we only booked a room with 1 queen bed. Went myself to show the receipt (no way Jose we are cramming in 1 queen bed, plus this was booked months ago and already fully paid!) Took 10 to 15 minutes of back and forth for them to finally apologize and give us the right room. Room was spacious but not well kept, very dusty. Called the front desk the morning of our 3rd day to have the room cleaned, we came back in the afternoon and the room is still not clean. PROS - View of the mountain and their restaurant (The Prow) - Amazing food and customer service! Overall, not a comfortable stay and would not recommend to family and friends! Can get a more comfortable stay and better customer service somewhere else for the price.

We showed up at 2 to try early check-in. They could not accommodate, said try at 4, no worries! Show up at 4, they say another half hour, ok no problem. Go in at 430 they say half hour and give a drink voucher. OK, annoying but thanks. At 5 they say half an hour, short on staff. At this point we are starting to get pretty annoyed. They offer dinner, which we didn't really need, as we had reservations at a cool place that's hard to book. We had a newborn and toddler who were getting restless. Long story short we got in our room at 815 with horribly grumpy kids, and they didn't give a crap about the wait. Room was filthy as well. For a place this expensive I couldn't be more disappointed. Spend your money elsewhere. Would be different if staff weren't so flippant and rude
