Great resort for couples and families alike. Many options for dinning, leisure, swimming, water park, and beach front property which makes this a must stay over any other hotel in the Nassau.
Staying at both major hotels in Nassau, the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar is by far the superior resort. From the friendliness of its staff, the cleanliness, the high class atmosphere, and a better water park.

The Baha Mar resorts are VERY expensive for an average experience. We spent $650 a night for 7 days and really expected an amazing stay. However, when we got there, we found out that they had double booked our room and tried to give us a room that cost significantly less than what I paid for. We had to stay in that room for one night and had to jump through a lot of hoops to get the room I paid for. We were mildly compensated for our troubles.
If you're going there for the water park, I wouldn't bother. It's an average water park that you can find anywhere in the States. It is, however, very clean, well maintained and has a lot of life guards present. The kids did appreciate not having to wait in long lines.
The Cleaning staff are very friendly and did an amazing job cleaning our room. A big shout out to Melinda for being so kind! The rest of the staff was okay, not friendly but also not rude.
There are many pools, all well maintained. The kayaks, paddle boards and water trampolines aren't really available to use. Just there to look at? IDK. We were only able to use a kayak for one day out of 5. No one seemed to give any explanation as to why they couldn't be used.
You will have to pay A LOT to eat there. Expect to pay about $500 a day for a family of four. It's about $40 a plate for each person, plus gratuity, resort fee and VAT. The cost of most everything there is grossly overpriced. For example flip flops are $80.

So many dining options to choose from . The staff was friendly, kind and always treated us with the upmost respect ..
I was surprised with the AI face recognition the hotel uses to capture family moments and portable memories .
The beach is so so beautiful - clear water - blue in the deeper . So many things to do once on beach - kayaking, jet skiing , snorkeling and more
Loved this place - hopefully I’ll be back in the future

Last July, my family stayed at the Grand Hyatt expecting a luxurious getaway. Instead we got a 2-week nightmare that almost cost my wife her life. I first discovered my wife was ill one morning after spending a night out at the resort. We went to the onsite clinic, which had a 4-hour wait, but just 2 hours later she became completely disoriented & had a seizure in the waiting area.
She was rushed to Doctor's Hospital, consistently throwing up, her body cold to the touch. At the hospital she went to the ER. I was asked to preauthorized payment before i could return to her. For roughly 48 hrs she remained unconscious. Bloodwork showed she had been drugged with PCP, leading to several life threatening issues the hospital had to carefully treat. We stayed at the hospital an additional five nights, as my daughters flew home with their grandma. Initially, the hotel was responsive & provided transportation. However, after learning my wife was drugged, their attitude changed. I had to leave my room & book the remaining nights on my own. I submitted a detailed report, requesting they review Sky Bar footage, suspecting her drink was spiked there the night prior, but never heard back.
Upon returning to the US, all communication with the Grand Hyatt ceased. Despite legal counsel contacting the hotel, we received no response. It's clear the hotel relies on favorable Bahamian laws & disregards guest safety. AVOID this resort & trust the other reviews about spiked drinks & sex crimes.

The property is very nice. Some staffs are more pleasant than others. Dining is super expensive. Be reminded that the bill includes VAT and Tax and that’s what made things more expensive. Be ready to spend about $150-$300.00 per meal for party of 4. Highly recommending purchasing the refillable cup as that is refillable in every station and would save you money for drinks. We enjoyed our stay but should have a reasonable price for family vacationing especially food.

A fantastic property enabling our family of 4 to have the choice of just relaxing by the pools or stay active like the water park and other fun activities. Rooms are gorgeous, restaurants were fantastic, although ridiculously expensive. We ate at Marcus, Katsumi, Sugar Gactory, Pizza Lab, Flying Pig and several of the food trucks throughout the day. All great but tough to swallow the outrageous prices.
All in all highly recommend if you want a luxury vacation that has something for everyone.

Overall we had a great time. We booked a suite and it was great for our family. Marcus was our fav restaurant. We ordered groceries from food 2 go which was awesome. We also booked a tour through Thunderbird sea adventures and it was awesome (swimming w sea turtles and visit to Rose Island).
Main issue for us is we prefer to have access to shade and finding chairs let alone a chair with an umbrella is near impossible without dropping a tonne of money for a cabana. As a family of four it becomes frustrating finding something.
So many chairs w towels but no people.
If you’re a shade loving family, buckle up bc you’ll need to pay for shade.
