Checkin was a disaster.
Assigned unit was not accessible due to failed lock.
Second try, after carrying bags to other side of building, and then upon entering we walked in on a family of three.
Third attempt was successful.
Was given complimentary breakfast which was small compensation.
So next day ordered peaches eggs and bacon
Eggs came out - no bacon. On its way, I was told. Eggs were lukewarm to begin with. Almost 10 minutes later the bacon came.
It’s bacon and eggs! Ain’t that hard to get them on same plate at same time.
To be fair I asked for and got 2 more eggs but of course by that time bacon was lukewarm. Also got another coffee on the house.
Nice place but getting the right room ready and breakfast right would help.

Service was great, staff was flexible with late checkout and accommodated a comfortable stay with a small child.

We booked this place for a family of four with two small children during the period of Floriade. At the reception, both kids received a bag of colouring items. When we entered this apartment unit, it immediately struck to us how well presented it was. All looked new. Our kids fell in love with this place and enjoyed being indoors instead of being out and about. They were also engaged with their fun bag. The hotel also had built-in Chromecast, which made it easy to entertain the kids for the limited times they get bored. The location of this hotel is not the best, if you looking for nearby shops or restaurants. However, when in Canberra, everything is just a stone throw away.

Good location, the apartment was spacious and comfortable for our family of 3 kids. It would have been nice to have a few more utensils, chopping boards, etc in the kitchen for us to use. The couch was very old and needed replacing. Overall, we were very happy with the apartment and would stay there again.

As a family of 4, we stayed at their apartment unit with 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms and a good size kitchen. The checkin was swift, and there is a 5-minute bay for your vehicle, while being checked in. Underground parking was included. The whole unit was pristinely clean. Our kids simply loved it and it was spacious enough for them have fun at hide-and-seek! And with the kitchen had all the modem options making it easy to prepare breakfast before we head out exploring around. This place is located just a stone-throw away from New Parliament House and Questacon by car.
One tiny discomfort was with water from any shower leaks onto carpet for the ensuite and for the shared bathroom, it similarly wets the main section. Also, without one’s own vehicle, there are shops at walking distance.
Having said that, we had a wonderful time to Canberra and it had a lot to do with this hotel!

The Burbury is super conveniently located – Canberra attractions (and DFAT) are very close by. The hotel would probably best suit business travellers who wants a bit of the convenience of a self-contained unit: there’s a kitchenette, fridge, microwave and dishwasher, but no hotplates or oven. A lot of the kitchen cupboards and drawers are completely empty! It’s fine for eating breakfast in the morning, but if you’re travelling with small children (as we were), then you might need something with better cooking facilities. Also, we had no hot water for the duration of our stay, which wasn’t ideal, but what can you do.

awesome stay here with family for two nights. Pre loaded movies on all TVs a bonus. Nespresso machine and the best bed we have slept in in a long time! If travelling with family go for a two bedroom two bathroom apartment.
Nothing is too far away and across the road the Ostani restaurant and bar was good. Secure parking was also great. Would not hesitate to stay here again
