Our stay was great, the rooms were clean and comfy. The complimentary breakfast had lots of great hot food options, one of the best we have experienced. Everyone in the hotel was friendly and helpful. A couple things to note... The vending machine soda was $4.50!!! I realize we are in a resort town, and coming from Hawaii I was prepared for higher pricing but I thought $4.50 for a soda was a little extreme. I was also not aware ahead that there was no elevator in our building, but we were just on the 2nd floor so it was not to bad. (just FYI, we've stayed at a few hotels booked through Hotels.com that did not disclose that there was no elevator- so you may want to call the hotel directly to confirm). My one big concern was the pillars/railings at the top of the staircase. The pillar spacing was so big that my toddler (or even myself) could easily fit through them and fall onto the stairs below. Just something they may want to look into for safety reasons.

I was a little unsure after reading reviews, but my family enjoyed our stay!
I didn't quite understand having 2 doors... interior/exterior. The pool was on 2nd floor with a nice sized hot tub with a view of the mountains!

Rooms in good condition but layout awkward in 2Q 1SB...room door opens directly into the bathroom counter. Sufficient parking but initially takes a minute to figure out which side and door to park near to access room. For instance, room faces out from the center parking lot but needed to park in the center to access the door on that side for access to the stairs closest to the room. The main building (lobby, gym, pool) has an elevator and some of the rooms are in that building; however, no elevator in the building where our room was located. Not sure about other buildings and didn't see any way to determine if room your booking is in a building with an elevator or not. We're traveling with people who've had ankle and knee surgeries...don't require handicap room but carrying things up/down stairs, especially with kids in tow, will likely preclude future stay.

Hits all the marks that matter to our family! It was very clean, comfortable beds, soft and thick sheets, spacious, good breakfast, and great location for walking everywhere. The staff was friendly although we were too busy exploring to have much interaction. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

I had booked a suite with a fireplace (2 queens and a double sofa bed) and was first assigned a room that just had 2 queens. The front desk was kind and friendly and reassigned us to “the house” which was slightly off site but its own freestanding cabin. Plenty of space for what we needed, which was nice, but not exactly what I thought I was paying for. The bathrooms were kind of scary tbh, with visible mold and damage, no counter space or a place to hang a towel in the whole place. Bedding and towels were clean though! It’s very “rustic” and although maybe as clean is it gets, it didn’t feel clean at all. The carpets were new but there were exposed floorboards in some places. If I had planned to stay there and prepare meals, I don’t think I would have. For several hundred dollars per night, I just expected more. Didn’t want to be a bother to have them switch us again or try to find somewhere else in town since vacancy was low for our size family, but I wouldn’t recommend or stay there again.

The location was great for walking into the downtown area. Breakfast was good and my kids enjoyed the hot chocolate everyday!

Summary Version:
Take pictures of the room when you arrive, I was charged $50 for damage that I did not cause and no notification of charge/information has been provided to me
Room was dated and not maintained
Room was not very clean - stained bedsheets
No maid service for 7 night stay due to not enough staff - had to go to lobby to replenish supplies
Shuttle bus to/from Jackson Hole Report extremely crowded, college kids discussing inappropriate subject matter in front of children, did not run very frequently
Low end breakfast
Buildings aren't connected - cold getting to room from pool
Unenthusiastic staff
Friendly shuttle bus driver
The 49er Inn & Suites claims "A fresh and modern hotel experience" and "Completely remodeled" on the website. This far from what I experienced/observed.
The room we stayed in was dated and not maintained. For instance, the shower control handle kept falling off, the shower head sprayed in all different directions, and the door security lock was broken, to name a few. The extra sheet set left for the pullout couch had staining on it that looked like vomit, which was well visible without even unfolding the sheets. There was hair in the bathroom that clearly wasn't ours, and the sheets didn't smell very fresh. The room did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned/turned over (I'm trying not to think about a scenario where the bedding was not cleaned, I hope that is not the case). The rugs were in rough shape.
