Anvil Hotel

My family booked 2 rooms for 6 nights total at Anvil Hotel in June. We also encouraged my brother-in-law to stay there as well. So essentially we booked 3 rooms and spent a decent amount altogether. All of the rooms were very far from each other, even though when I booked, I requested we all be close together. The hotel and lobby were "cute" - but that was about it. Our room was small with very little amenities. They said there was a refrigerator in the room, but it was completely stocked with their overpriced minibar and drinks. We had to take everything out to be able to use it - which later we saw on our account that we were charged for using the minibar (which we didn't). There's no coffee in the room, you had to walk to the lobby where someone poured you a cup of drip coffee if you were lucky (one day they said they were out and were brewing another pot which would have been a 15 minute wait). They also claimed there was a nightly happy hour in the lobby - which we never saw. In fact, one night I asked about it, and someone from the front desk pointed to the Glorietta restaurant and told me "they have drinks over there"... Kinda confused, I thought I must have misread the advertised "complimentary happy hour" and blew it off. The second room we booked was larger but dark and stuffy. You could open the window, but it was right on a busy hallway and very loud. It also was right across from very loud deck construction / remodel that started apx 8:00 am every morning.
