Property seems to have gone downhill slightly over the past several years. The surrounding area certainly has. Basketball tournament for grade school boys was going-on when we stayed. Noisy and lots of kids. By our last day the kids were gone and quiet was restored.

I was switched from the autograph tower to the historic, because the room I paid for was not available. I was told I would have enough room for the 4 of us. I was given & king & twin bed for 4 people. I was supposed to have 2 Queens. There was literally less than a foot of room between the beds. There was no room to place our suitcases. Since there wasn’t enough room for 4 people, I had to drive an hour & a half at 11pm to take my kids home. This hotel was rented for convenience, so we would have extra sleep & the ability to go swimming. I was able to get 4 hours of sleep. I checked out the next day, because this was not a $350 room. I was refunded $330 for my following night & given a dining credit. However, all trust with the Davenport is gone. I will not stay with them again, & I would advise others not to book a room with them.

I love this hotel. The lobby has a super fun vibe, the food is delicious, the waitstaff are friendly, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. That being said, there were a couple things that bothered me during our stay. The maid service was extremely lacking. No one bothered to tell us that we wouldn't be receiving any maid service during our 3 night stay. We have 2 small children and generated a lot of garbage and dirty towels. Turning on the light to request maid service did nothing. We had to call the front desk to finally get someone up there to remove the trash and give us fresh towels. When we came back to the room, there was just a tower of clean towels placed on one of the beds and the main garbage can was still overflowing. We were also disappointed to find out there was no happy hour. In the past, even if we weren't staying at the hotel, we would still drop in during happy hour to get a good deal on delicious food and drinks. I'm not sure if this was due to covid, but I really hope they bring it back as it is a huge draw. Lastly, and I've complained about this before, parking for a hotel guest should be free or at least deeply discounted. Instead, we found ourselves paying over $22 each night just to park our car in the garage. The rooms are expensive enough. Parking shouldn't cost extra.

Great place to stay. Very good for kids and family. My only grudge was the lady at the reception who was picking up the phone. She was just so rude, it really felt like she was snapping at us for calling the front desk for any questions. I can see they were busy maybe that’s why but it just dampened the whole experience. I hope that does not reflect anything on the rest of the staff and they can talk to this staff member to calm down her down. She was working there morning of April 10th

House keeping left the room clean with fresh linen except for a bath mat which was not replaced. the bed was made with the pillows arranged sloppily. The shower mixing valve was malfunctioning with the water temperature changing drastically to full hot. This could be a problem for an older person with mobility issues, or a child. I mentioned this to the front desk and they offered to send someone to fix it right away but we were already done with bathing.
