Great eclectic hotel. Service was excellent and totally tech! As baby boomers we were pretty overwhelmed. I would come and hang out downstairs any time , but I’m not ready for the minimalist hotel room. It felt to me like we were in a space capsule. It was clean, colorful and sooo cramped. Note: My husband loved it!

Very modern clean room. Very different than your usual hotel from the moment you check in to the moment you check out. Compact room but very high end and up to date. Do not recommend it for families. Ideal for couples since rooms are compact. Will book again.

Granted, it is not for everyone, but my daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Citizen M. The room was tiny, but the bed was vast. We slept comfortably (I'm tall) and despite the bathroom being oddly plexiglass/glass in a small room, it worked out for us. There was a sense of privacy in the hotel set up/hallways. On the other hand, my sister and her partner left after the first night because the small set up didn't work for them. Yet they found themselves visiting us for dinner after a good first impression with the breakfast. As NYers, we're used to great restaurant options and tend to complain when we travel elsewhere & visit high google rated restaurants only to be disappointed. We were surprised to find the hotel bar food (yes, the bar food!) enjoyable. And there was no need when tired to go out for food. The options were tasty, health conscious & for a good price. The breakfast was great, all you can eat in an unpretentious environment that makes you feel right at home. You can easily forget that you are amongst strangers. The staff and management were so kind and child-friendly.My daughter loved the place. We've stayed at the Alexis hotel when we visited Seattle before, which rooms are large like small apts and despite the large rooms, we decided that we prefer Citizen M. The bar/lounge/eating area is so inviting by comparison and the service was unparalleled. The price point makes this place a no brainer. With this level of customer service & comfort, I'd stay here again.

The front desk staff was great! However, after speaking with Melissa, Property Manager.I didn’t receive the response to scraping my leg on the faulty bed frame and exposure to other people’s blood after a Pandemic.I literally had to wake my toddler(#the crackn’) less than six hours after he finally went to sleep & after I remade the king bed because of no in-house housekeeper.
No offer of a late check out or complete Comp. Pathetic! So somehow the facility didn’t have an incident report to file. Went to the ER to get a tetanus shot & clean up my leg. Super disappointed on how the manager lack concern for my leg & the things I had miss because of I stayed @ CitizenM.

First the good: staff is excellent and trying really hard. S. @night and N. the day manager are top notch and really care, also clearly enjoy their impossible jobs.
I say impossible because this is a pod hotel where luggage doesn't fit in the room and not advertised as such. Including Asia, this is the smallest room I have ever seen, not sure how it got permitted. It's probably 20 square feet, no kidding. The hallway is so narrow and storage so limited that if you have a bag, it goes on the bed with you. If you have two bags....just no.
They really need to advertise what this is so a terrible surprise isnt had when the rooms are seen.
The excellent staff does their best to make due with an insanely horrible and misrepresented property.

Nowhere to park. All the plants were fake. Was decorated like ikea. The room was very tiny. The elevator, self check in/out was unnecessarily complicated and there were no instructions to help. Poor lighting in the rooms and uncomfortable and claustrophobic mattress. It was decorated like a child’s bedroom. Weird vibe for sure.

Great staff, very technology driven, small room, excellent food, good location to pier but very close to Skid Row. Enjoyed our stay but hope you will be able to relocate trash cans in front of property.

It’s always a pleasure to stay at the citizensM. Seattle is one of my favorite getaways. Beautiful artsy hotel. Very trendy and selfie worthy place. It’s a small which doesn’t bother me. But not a place for families of more than 3 or more. Always around some surrounded by great eats and sight seeing.
