We reserved a room with 2 queens online around 6 pm for us and our two adult children. We arrived at the hotel around 9 pm and were advised that they had no two queen rooms available. They unapologetically stated that this happens because it shows rooms online even when they don’t have them. We explained that there were 4 adults & has driven an extra hour to have space for everyone. They offered a king room or two king rooms (we would have to pay for both rooms). After about 35 minutes of back and forth and the front desk person calling their manager, they did finally find us a room with two queen beds.
The hotel was clean. There were a lot of people at the pool, but we did not use it. Breakfast was eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, pastries, fruit, etc - better than expected. The hotel itself was decent. We did hear someone complain that their tv and phone were damaged (and they were unable to get any accommodations/resolution) and the heater/AC in the room we ended up in was clearly very broken. When we turned it on it smelled like it was on fire (not just heat smell, much stronger!). We decided to just let it be and be thankful that we had sleeping space. E suspect the room may have not been bookable because of this and maybe they allowed it to be booked to accommodate us.

I haven’t stayed in a Holiday Inn Express for several years, and either the quality has gone downhill…or we ended up with a poorly run hotel. First it is listed as a nonsmoking hotel, but the elevator and hallways have strong marijuana odors. Our room was fair, and the bead were comfortable, but the refillable soap dispenser was broken and we only had 3 towels for 4 people. The breakfast buffet was very limited. We went during the middle of the breakfast time range and the eggs were empty, they had 4 cold sausages, and a long line to make 2 pancakes. There were no cinnamon buns, no yogurts or fruits, and the milk pitcher was empty. It was crowded, unappealing, and the workers were in no hurry to refill anything. We also wanted to let the kids swim for an hour before leaving to try to gain some kind of value from the stay, but the doors to the pool were broken and the staff couldn’t figure out how get them open. We decided to go ahead and check out and find some decent food. As we left the hotel, we discovered that multiple vehicles in the side parking lot closest to the tree line had been broken into overnight. Police were there and multiple people were cleaning up glass. I would never choose or recommend this hotel.

My family and I stayed for one nigh, which sufficed. I would say mediocre compared to other hotels I stayed in the past.

We had a great experience. Pool could have used a cleaning. My son found a band aid in the pool but the pool stayed open late and my kids were thrilled. Offered hot chocolate when we checked in and my kids loved that! Breakfast had a good selection but the person in charge of breakfast was having a hard time keeping up with the crowd. She did the best she could for being one person. Soap dispensers in our bathroom needed refilled. Overall the hotel was exactly what we expected. About 10 minutes from everything ( colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens) and in a nice area.

Staff was amazing. Visiting with grandchildren and the staff was accommodating to increase the pool temperature a bit to make the experience better for grandma. Breakfast staff was very kind and kept all food items replenished whenever they were running low, before they ran out. Would definitely stay again.

Super excited to leave this review…. All around greatness from this location!!! Customer service all departments - 100 Cleanliness- 100 Breakfast- 100 Parking - 100 Fitness room - 100 Pool - 100 inside by the way no need for sunny days they bring it! Close to attractions and restaurants! Thanks to everyone on during our family vacation! Keep up the good work! We’ll be back for sure!!!!!

Was put in a room with a run down ,nasty,dirty bathroom. Requested a new room and was told to check out.I was with two kids, where do i get another hotel at about 8pm.So was forced to live in a room with a dirty bathroom for the night

You know how sometimes its just ok and sometimes it's awful. Not here the whole hotel was great. The rooms were very clean the hotel was very clean. The staff was on top of everything. The breakfast was better then you could get out at a restaurant thanks to Linda. The front staff very welcoming and lovely to talk to. They made you feel like family. It was a wonderful stay. Thank you to all tge staff there for such a wonderful time.

I was very pleased with my hotel stay. The employees were ALL very polite and made my family and I feel welcomed. This is the only hotel that I would recommend in Williamsburg.

My kids and I had a great stay! Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice big pool, and good hot breakfast. Also close to all Williamsburg attractions.
