Comfort Suites Fredericksburg South

The suites at this Comfort Inn are roomy with a full family style room in the front and the bedroom separated by a hall in the back. This is ideal if you have kids who need to go to bed early and you want to stay up. The hotel is doing some renovations and one elevator was closed. Depending on the clientele and their pool use the main area of the hotel and the noise can drift into every room. They were good about closing the pool promptly at 9pm but until then it was very loud. The staff were great about trying to be as flexible as possible.

Nice overall. Sofa bed quality was worst we have experienced. Pillows clumpy and have no support. Breakfast needs more healthy options. Were locked out when we left room early to get breakfast. Both cards deactivated 3 hours before check-out which was inconvenient. Only left 4 wash cloths and towels when we had a family of 6. I think improvements could be made. Overall ok.

Great place for families.

Locked out of our room for 30 minutes, clerk kept giving us keys that didn’t work . Hotel attendant told us my kids need to keep noise at a minimum when using the pool because he didn’t want complaints while people are trying to check in. Questioned my age on taking my kids to the pool but allowed a man to drink alcohol at the pool when it clearly stated it wasn’t allowed. Woke up stuffy and coughing to see black gunk or mold caked at the top and bottom of the window. Elevators smelled liked weed . Other people said the had problems with their room cleanlinesss

Staff was OK - but not sure who designed the Rooms to all face the giant kiddie pool??? Noise from screaming kids was absolutely horrendous. Hours upon hours of screaming kids was a less than relaxing experience.

Last minute trip and this our first stay with this brand of hotel The hotel isn't in a great area, but looks nice when you first walk in. The kids were excited to swim, but the pool was dirty and the water extremely murky and cloudy to the point that you can't see the through it. Several kids refused to get in the pool. The rooms were clean, but the bathroom smelled musty and the bed were really, really firm. The breakfast was a massive disappointment. The 4 silver trays were empty except for breakfast sausage. The lady working said they had eggs but they were all gone (breakfast was still on for 90 more mins). They had waffles and off brand dry cereal that was a bit stale. We were staying as a fun surprise for the kids on our way home from an activity in DC because the kids love hotel pools and hotel breakfast. I wasn't expecting a lot because it is listed as a two-star hotel, but I did think that they would be prepared to offer the things they advertise in their listing. sausage

Everything was “fine.” It was worth the price of a convenient pull off from our road trip with our small children. Cleanliness was 3/5 for me but nothing I complained about. So Id stay again.

Very convenient but needs a facelift. Rooms are spacious and love the two separate rooms. Outlets in bathroom were loose and dryer kept falling out. Very uncomfortable sofa in the living room. Indoor pool was so cloudy my grandkids wouldn't get in. Wi-fi kept cutting in and out and you had to log in every morning or whenever you went out and came back.

Terrible, do not recommend staying here. Hotel has a strange design. Walk into the lobby, there is a seating area, desk and indoor pool all in the same open space visible to all rooms. It is an all open design lobby floor to 5th floor. All room doors at all levels face the center of the building which is open to the lobby/pool. Making it unbelievable loud. Checked in at 9:30pm. People yelling, playing loud music and kids screaming in the pool. At 3am there was still all sorts of noise and music blaring and people up and down the halls banging on the halls and all around disrespectful. Hotel is very dated, pull-out sofa in room was not made up. Water damage on walls and ceiling. Pay an extra $20-$30 and stay someplace else.
