The reason for the visit was for a funeral. The hotel was close to the family and service locations. The hotel facility and room were a nicer than anticipated. To the extent possible with the circumstance, I enjoyed my accomodations,

I had a sick child and had to cancel. I was refused a refund. There goes 600$ because i didn't bring a sick kid

Very pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this hotel. Lovely lobby and rooms were very comfortable, newly renovated, clean and quiet. Location was perfect for a pleasant and safe walk to many restaurants and shopping. Staff at check in was friendly and helpful We would stay here again and recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Some good and some bad about the stay. Good: Location. Right on the walking mall. Close to restaurants and events. Free parking. Interesting lobby. Decent pool, hot tub and exercise Staff are friendly Bad: Definite need of overall update everywhere Beds were very uncomfortable Crammed rooms for family Loud. You can hear everything in the lobby, stayed on sixth floor. No complimentary coffee in am. Keys stopped working x6. Got stuck in lobby and in parking garage.

Perfect location at the end of the downtown mall, with pool and spa, friendly service, and nightly turn down service, it’s ideal for families when visiting UVA.
