Wingate by Wyndham St. George

Although the reception staff was very nice at check in, we were so disappointed in our room. It was very dirty. It was clear the room had not been swept or mopped. There were crumbs all over the floor and within 5 minutes of walking around the room my 2 year olds feet were black. We also found feces on the side of the toilet. At check out when we expressed our disappointment we were told the manager would call us (which did not happen) and we didn’t even receive an apology for the poor conditions. Our family will not stay here again.

We frequently stay in hotels all over the US and U.K and this was one of the best! It was so clean, the beds comfortable and the staff super helpful. Our children enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was delicious. The price was also very reasonable. Thank you for having us! We will be back :)

Great family friendly property

The room was clean and comfy, the staff were friendly and helpful, and very understanding/patient with our small children who'd been cooped up in the car for hours.

Single night stay. Good room. Catered to a family of 5 (single room-2 adults/3 kids). Kids enjoyed the pool while I enjoyed the hot tub. Overall good stay. Would stay there again.

The room was spacious and worked well for our family, but it was very dated and well used.

The room has no overhead lights, it has 4 small wall lamps one of which did not work and the other two were nearly burned out. It was so dark in the room that we had to turn the flashlight on our phones. The bathtub had a stick on mat that was not removable, but it was peeling up on all edges and was disgusting under it. I couldn’t give my kids a bath. The beds were absolutely hard. The pillows were very small, flat, and hard. They did not have milk available to purchase.

My requests were accommodated when I checked in and that staff member was helpful and efficient. We got 2 rooms. The television didn’t work in either room upon check in. I reported to the front desk and a technician eventually came and spent some time troubleshooting both tvs. One was fixed after they brought multiple new remotes and the other was eventually reset. The rooms were spacious, but we couldn’t sleep either night. The thermostat read that the room was 75 degrees. We turned it down as low as possible as it was much too hot. We keep our home at 62 degrees in winter and we were sweating. There was a sign on the thermostat not to adjust low welt than 70 degrees. We set it to cool to 70. At first it was ok after we opened the window and we fell asleep. But by midnight, the unit started blowing hot air. Nothing we did would fix it, even shutting off the thermostat but it kept blowing hot air. We could not sleep both nights. Breakfast options were minimal, compared to when we stayed there a year ago. Also, we chose this hotel because it had a heated outdoor pool last December and the kids were planning on swimming the whole stay. This year, the pool was not heated and much too cold to swim in December this year. Jacuzzi worked, although there were no pool towels. When I asked at the desk, they said the towels must all be dirty. When I asked when available, desk wasn’t helpful and said they didn’t have laundry person there, instead of just giving us bath towels

It was the perfect place to stop for a night on a long road trip with kids. Nothing fancy but good enough and the staff was absolutely wonderful.

We were pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of this room! It is huge! We loved having a separate family room area. The kitchen was good sized as well but there were no dishes for us to use. That was fine for us as we had not planned to do any cooking. The bed was a little on the firm side, which was a bit uncomfortable for us. The bathroom was very spacious as well. The shower is large and in good condition. We did not use the whirlpool tub but it is a nice feature and it appeared to be in good condition. The room was very comfortable and it was somewhat updated. Let's just say you could tell it had been renovated a few years ago. The breakfast was just so-so. It was a typical hotel breakfast. My husband is particular about his eggs and he found the eggs in the breakfast buffet to be dry. I however had a delicious nicely toasted bagel that satisfied my tastebuds just fine!
