Overview

Evo Hotel offers a unique and exciting experience for families. While some families appreciate the hotel's industrial-chic design and proximity to activities like a skate park and climbing gym, it's important to note that room sizes may be smaller than expected and some rooms lack windows. Families with young children may find the hotel's lively atmosphere and limited amenities, such as a lack of in-room furniture, challenging. However, many families praise the friendly staff and the fun, active amenities which make it a great option for active families.

I was a bit taken back with the industrial rooms and no windows in the room (just a change of pace) but beds were comfortable and for the most part the rooms were clean although there were cob webs coming from the open ventilation both in my daughters room and mine Staff was very courteous both on check in and departure The hotel needs better signage as we drove right by it The kids enjoyed the games

Overall it was just ok. We stayed for one night before a flight out the next day. The location was convenient to the airport for sure. I got sucked in with how cool the hotel looks on the website. The room pictures are majorly deceiving though. We were in a double room and it was so small. We had two adults, one teenager and a toddler. There isn’t a table, there isn’t really any furniture at all outside of two tiny benches and the weird book case barrier between the beds. Inside the room, there are very few amenities. No cups, no extra towels, nowhere to put clothes, no fridge, no microwave. It’s literally a room with two beds and a bathroom. Inside the bathroom, you have a shower that looks cool but the shower has half a wall so water got everywhere. Our sink didn’t really drain, I had to hold the stopper up. Hotel, we didn’t get to take advantage of most of the gym amenities. Our room was directly beside the bar, which was cool because we could literally walk out and grab a drink then come back to our room but was not great because we could hear the music through the wall until 11pm. Thank goodness for sound machines or our toddler would’ve been up all night. Parking and surrounding area, once the area is built it will be really cool. Unfortunately it is VERY MUCH under construction. Like you are parking beside construction vehicles (if you can get a spot) or in a gravel lot. The whole area feels a little sketch. Just stay at a normal hotel and climb here.

We had to be in Salt Lake for medical appointments and we wanted to make the experience fun for the kids! Evo hotel was perfect, the skate park and the bouldering were perfect ways to let the kids burn off their energy and the vote was, “it was way better than a hotel pool!” The staff were so helpful and kind, the spaces were comfortable, and the room was great. The corn hole at the top of the stairs was a hit too! We would totally stay here again.

Cool vibe and it doesn’t feel like you are in a hotel. First room (family bunk) didn’t have any windows (that bit of info was not in the room description) then we got switched to room 229 that had a window (not able to open) but was on the other side of the wall from the rental shop so we could hear their conversations and loud music as if they were right in the room with us which was not great. Parking was limited. Lots of constructions happening right next to the hotel. Staff were very friendly! Nice that they give you passes to the on-site climbing gym.

This place looks NICE but falls SHORT. "Self parking" is in an open lot behind the building. Had to deal with people going to the skate park/ rock gym and unload my family then hunt for parking on the other side of the block. Very inconvenient when traveling with kids and luggages. The rooms are a lot smaller than an average hotel and we could barely fit 2 medium size rolling luggage in the room. We kept saying, its okay, were only here for 2 days. We slept poorly the first night because there was a group of girls who arrived to their room around midnight/1am . They were not being loud/rude - just enjoying their trip - but the walls were paper thin that we can hear their conversations for a couple hours. It was uncomfortably crystal clear not even muffled noises. After a poor night of sleep we ended up leaving the next day. I think this place was great if we were staying for one night and just backpacking through.

THIS WAS THE COOLEST HOTEL I HAVE EVER BEEN IN, Loved it but we went as a family with small children, it was disappointing to walk around and have to explain what pride flags were, "inclusive climbing" unisex bathrooms, queer fest art shows and drag queen shows were... I think these are personal choices and should not be shoved down mine or my childrens throat at every turn. I go to a hotel to relax on vacation , not explain politics and alternate life styles to my kids. I think they took an excellent idea , made it more than cool , then polluted it .

We came across the country to visit the national parks in Utah. It was the first hotel we stayed at. The vibe of the hotel was unique for us- everyone working there was very kind and excited that we were staying at their hotel but this was specially true of Kennedy at the front desk. The hotel has an air of outdoors, nature, and sport. Included in the price that we took advantage was rock climbing, strength training class with Ryan, and amenities within the gym. The coffee was complimentary all throughput the day and delicious. A sweet touch of the experience was a free photo booth that our family enjoyed.

Great for kids or enthusiasts, not for others. You'll arrive in your windowless room and wonder how to avoid hitting your head on the remarkably low ceilings beams that are covered in dust. The room has been appointed with a lumpy bed that is way too soft and a single nightstand, there is also no closet. Bathroom is okay, but the shower head in mine was broken. This place has an awesome rock climbing gym and a skatepark. It misses the mark as a hotel, though

Great hotel! I was here for a conference and didn't get a chance to use all the amenities. I hope to return with the family!

We’re retired folks who stumbled into hipsterville, it was delightful, unexpected, inventive. Only demerit goes to overly soft bed. Staff was friendly and helpful, spot on recommendations, great place for an active, athletic family — us 20 years ago.
