Overview

The AC Hotel by Marriott Park City receives mixed reviews from families. While guests consistently praise the friendly and courteous staff and convenient location, some families have noted concerns about cleanliness, noise levels (particularly those in rooms near elevators), and the absence of a fully functional pool area during their stay. Although some found the breakfast worthwhile, others did not. While the hotel's location makes it easy to access local attractions and family time, prospective guests should be aware of these potential issues before booking.

We love this hotel so much, we always pick it when coming to Park City. This time we came with our baby and we noticed the floors were insanely dirty from the moment we arrived, the sheets had a bad smell combined with bleach. We got the room by the elevator and we could hear everything outside. The elevator makes a very loud sound, we could even hear the neighbors next door talking and their tv that seemed to be against a wall. Even with a sound machine we could still hear the elevator. The staff was very friendly though.

The staff is very friendly and courteous. I have been staying here after a house fire and they feel like they have become family. They have been wonderful to me.

Smooth check-in and very helpful at the front desk. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was well worth it and made for a really enjoy morning. Overall it was a perfect location for my wife and I to stay and feel comfortable while visiting friends and family.

A pretty nice hotel. The check-in was great, sadly I did not get the young man's name. All of the people who worked at the front desk were super friendly and seemed to like their jobs. Very inviting. The hotel itself was decent, unfortunately they had no working ice machines, and the family above us were apparently having a bowling tournament in their room, pretty much 24 hours a day for 3 days. That was pretty awful, but I made no complaints because it wasn't really the hotel's fault. If I ever stay there again I will request a room on the top floor.

I don't like the new look and feel nearly as much as the old Hampton look and feel, before Marriott took it over. The square toilet is not comfy - dumb design, and it extends away from the wall so far that you can barely reach the toilet paper which is on the wall beside the toilet tank behind you. The sink is too shallow, only 3 inches deep, and there isn't enough room between it and the faucet, so when washing hands, you're bumping the bottom of the sink just to get your hands under the faucet - super awkward. And there is no way to turn off the motion sensor bathroom lights - and there are a lot of lights in there. It's like an operating room. So, when you get up in the night to use the toilet, the bathroom lights kick on and light up the bedroom too, before you can get the bathroom door shut. Do designers actually try this stuff before they put it in a hotel?! The rooms have a sanitized look and feel - reminds me of a hospital room. There's no tub - just a shower; they apparently don't want you spending too much time in the bathroom. The rooms are not carpeted - just vinyl plank flooring, which is easy to clean but not nearly as comfy on the bare feet. Breakfast is no longer included in the reservation price, and there is no microwave in the room. Clearly, Marriott remade this place for the business exec, and not for vacationers, even though business execs will have just as much trouble washing their hands... But, if you're on vacation, particularly with kids, don't come.

Check in was smooth and the room was clean. They didn't let us know at check in that the entire pool area was under renovation which was a disappointment when we went down to use it. The breakfast was okay but not worth the $8 for kids and $12 for adults.
