GPS takes you to a different hotel which is annoying. The tub was dirty and there were no sheets for the pull out couch bed. Parking was not great and none of the doors except for the front were open after a certain time but since parking is so limited, you had to park in the very back. Walking that far in the dark with luggage, kids, etc is not ideal.

We visit family very often in the area and we utilize this hotel a couple of times. It’s affordable, clean, air conditioner works great, and they have breakfast in the morning.

Our family trip to Dallas was ruined by a distressing experience at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dallas Grand Prairie South. We booked our stay from April 5 to April 9, 2024, hoping for a comfortable and hassle-free vacation. Unfortunately, our expectations were far from met due to a shocking mishap by the hotel management.
We had a smooth check-in on April 5th and were initially pleased with the facility. However, upon returning from a day trip on April 8th, we were blindsided by the fact that our room had been checked out by the management. This inexplicable action left us stranded at midnight without a place to stay. The hotel staff, including the receptionist Lex and manager Silvia, were unhelpful and dismissive. They insisted that we had initiated the checkout, a claim that was completely unfounded and untrue.
To make matters worse, another family who traveled with us encountered the same baffling situation. They, too, found themselves without accommodations in the middle of the night. The ordeal was particularly tough on the children, who were tired and confused by the sudden upheaval.
Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, the hotel staff provided no viable solutions, leaving us to scramble for alternative accommodations at an ungodly hour. The lack of empathy and accountability from the hotel management was deeply disappointing.
I cannot recommend La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Dallas Grand Prairie South to anyone, especially families.

They left our family with kids stranded in the middle of the night because they had given our rooms to someone else while we were still starting with them!
We reserved from April 5th through 9th. We checked in on the 5th. We drove to see the solar eclipse on the 7th and came back on 8th. Then we found out they had checked us out and our rooms were given to someone else.
We did not check out on the 7th and still had door cards with us. They kept lying that we came and checked out at the front desk, which they didn't have any proof to show
At midnight, after driving 500mi back from AR, we didn't have our room and with 4 young kids our two families were left with no option or help from them
Not even a single apology! When we showed our reservation they knew about the mistake on their part but kept on changing the story to claim we checked out.
Utterly disappointed and will not recommend this place for anyone

The air conditioning in our second room was out. The staff did offer to exchange our room - but the kids were already piled up in the beds.

The staff was amazing. Every one is them. Our TV remote and phone didn't work but the TV was fixed quickly. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The entire place smelled amazing. The breakfast was slightly disappointed and we were scolded for using the wrong size plates for eggs and toast. I wish there had been more cereal than raisin bran and maybe some pop tarts or donuts for the kids. The pool was a little dirty and the door locked us outside. Overall would stay again.

Front desk for check in Friday July 28th was great. Saturday evening we checked with the front desk to ask if the hot tub was on because it was murky and the same temp as the pool. Response was, “yes it’s fine and the pool closes in 20 minutes anyway and maintenance is not in so..” (it was 9:40pm).
When I asked if I could get a pool towel I was told, “no, we are done with that for tonight too”. The pool was full of kids playing and plenty of families until well past 10:30.

Upon arrival the staff was friendly. When we got to our room it was clean but we decided to clean it again ourselves. The maids only gave us 3 towels for a family of 5 so that became a issue every night when we needed to shower. Even if we asked the maid with the cart cleaning out floor for towels they didn't want to give us any, so that was inconvenient. We stayed for a week and they never came into our room to clean. They were supposed to come on day 3 but never did. Basically it was us doing everything. Taking out our own trash as well.
The walls are super thin so beware even though no one was super noisy, you can still hear talking and walking on the floor above you.
The pool was nice. The hot tub has an uncleaned smell. The staff does give pool towels (sometimes as bath towels too).
The breakfast was blah. Just go eat somewhere else if you want options.
Overall our week stay was ok, could have been way better on the maids behalf and the thin walls.
