Holiday Inn Express & Suites Port Lavaca, an IHG Hotel

The front desk staff was not helpful when asked simple questions about the property. We booked this hotel so that we could fish since it backs right up to the water. However, people kept showing up to fish that were not staying at the property. As well as showing up to a family reunion that was using the hotel pergola/bbq pits. We had to go looking for the owner of a truck that had us blocked in just so we could leave and that person was not even staying at the hotel. There was just way too many people using the outdoor amenities that were not actually staying at the hotel.

This was a perfect hotel for our family stay. Clean, fresh and right on the water. Fishing was excellent and close to other great dining and fishing piers. We will be back to this location soon. Breakfast was awesome and Tay was an excellent attendant for the start of our day! We left something in the room and it was turned in at the front desk and they called us. Very honest people at this GEM!!! So HAPPY!!
