Hilton Garden Inn Longview

My kids enjoyed the pool but that was about it for the positives. For the amount they charge to have no free breakfast and they charge for parking it’s not really worth it.

We have stayed here before with no problems. As a matter of fact, this is my kids favorite place to “staycation”. However, this stay has been quite terrible. My kids had a great time by the pool all day yesterday and I have no complaints there, but when it comes to sleeping I am pretty upset. I am on the first floor in room 110. My kids were asleep by 9:45 last night but quickly woken from the horrible noise above us. Eventually I went to the front desk around 10:30 to complain and the front desk employee (James maybe?) assured me he would handle it. Before midnight I was back at the front desk because it never stopped. This time a woman that was working got on the elevator to go see what was going on. It finally got quiet and we were able to fall back asleep. But 4 am, it all started again. It sounds like someone is literally stomping on the floor above us. I am absolutely exhausted and my children are not too happy either.

The hotel could improve their luggage carts to bell hop carts, so my children can ride on them Also, the fridge in my room wasn’t cold enough for my beer.

Our 2 night stay was very nice. We were there for a wedding with several other friends and family. The staff was very kind.

I have never complained about a hotel before because I always overlook minor inconveniences, but this one significantly affected my trip. This trip I was travelling with my 2 children. Our only absolute requirement was that the property had a pool for the kids. It was something they were looking most forward to on the whole trip. We booked this property based on the advertised pool. It was only after our arrival we were told that the pool was closed. Had we known we would have chosen a different property because that was our whole basis of selecting this one. By then it was too late to relocate (holiday weekend). Had we been informed sooner we could have selected a different property. Also the shower head in the bathroom did not work. I did not request a new room because by the time I got out of the shower (bath) it would be pointless to move to a new room.
