Courtyard by Marriott Houston I-10 West/Energy Corridor

Checked in the lights in front were non existent and the courtyard lights as well, got into the room to a musty smell, wife turned the tv on to find 12 of the “42” channel selection worked all others were just lines and fuzzies, out of the channels that showed 5 were blurry, hazy and wavy off and on. So basically got 7 good working channels. The “bistro” was overpriced for quality and the “Starbucks coffee” was just a hotel employee that just made the drinks very under par from a real Starbucks establishment. In the hall the was a pecan roach I had mentioned to the staff and he said ok thank you, an hour later I left to retriev food for my family and came back to find the roach in front of my room door, this time I killed it and let staff know I did so but it was still in the hall. After waking up and walking out of the room guess who was still where I left him you got it Mr. Roach. Would not recommend hotel to anyone in the area looking to stay overnight or for a trip. Very upset with courtyard as I’ve used them many times in the past while traveling with family and this is a first unpleasant experience.

This property was taken since it was rated at 100 $ by Expedia and it was near to my wife’s work place.But my room charges with all tax has come to 125 around.They said they will provide micro wave oven if requested. I requested once, I never got. I also requested for a house keeping service but that never happened. Front office staff was nice but they were busy due to too many customers I did not want to follow up with them too much. Whatever was in their control they helped immediately. The area was noisy even early morning and late night there was always noise coming to my room and kids got scared during sleep. Another thing worth mentioning is Bistro restaurant in this hotel. There was a lady who was serving in the morning who seemed to be helpful while we were ordering stuff. A gentle man in the evening at the counter literally shouted at me when I ordered coffee .. he said he was not able to understand me and seemed to be in a hurry to get rid of me. After all it was just a coffee, he could have been more patient with me. Overall my experience with courtyard Marriott was horrible and I would not stay here one more time. Every month we stay in different hotels due to mine / wife’s work. Usually my daughters leave with fond memories. This time around my daughters badly wanted to vacate the hotel. They became more and more uncomfortable as we reached 3rd day of our stay. Sorry to say - you all definitely have a long way to go in terms of customer support. Sorry again!!

Great place for the family

Upon arriving, I noticed trash everywhere on the lot. Broken signs. A broke down car with some children running around. The car was taken apart and put back together daily. The staff told me upon arriving that they did not have a King room for me, even though I had reserved a King and completed an early check in. I eventually got the room. It was outdated, but clean. The noise level at this location is absurd in the mornings. I’m not even sure how it retains the name Courtyard by Marriott. It’s a joke. The lobby is run down and they don’t serve coffee for purchase until 6 am.

Room was clean and opened into the courtyard so the kids could go to the pool. Pool needs new chairs, they have huge holes in the seats, but we enjoyed the pool. It was quiet when we went to sleep which was the most important to us with small children

Need to detail my own experience. I am a busy executive and I travel all of the time and for me to take the time to come on here and actually write a review is kind of a big deal. First check in I was not displeased, although for * a night after tax (yes after tax it will be 110), one might expect some basic amenities but have incurred PROBLEM AFTER PROBLEM!!! No elevator (there is none, stairs only like Super 8!) TINY bathrooms (Bathroom is tiny, at the shortest point it is literally 30 inches wide. don't turn around too fast!) Junky 1999 TV!!!!! ( I am paying * a night for a room with a * dollar television) Breakfast is * a day with appropriate tip and tax. *. That's right. *. For eggs and bacon. nothing too fancy. But still maybe the service is good? No. They give you your bill about as soon as you sit down, take your silverware immediately, didn't bring water on any day i was here unless I asked, you get the feeling... Last night I came in after having to drive to Galveston for a last minute meeting, I came in at 2AM flat, their clock said 2:05 (which was wrong) I asked for a beer and got refused. no big deal I am not sweating it but it started things off. So I go to get a soda and some chips instead. * dollars. I am not kidding. That will be * with tax. Then I get to my room and I am looking through movies and I accidentally hit New Moon. They refused to refund me even though I only watched 10 minutes of it before I fell asleep.
