Stockyards Hotel

This location is PRIME if you have not visited the stockyards before. It is within walking distance to the cattle walk which is a must see while here. As far as accommodations go at the hotel, valet was super easy, $28/day and worth it to keep our car safe. The hotel itself is historical and beautiful but is in DESPERATE need of room renovations. The tile in our bathroom was dirty with hair and cracking. The shower curtain had black mold on it. There were only two body towels in the room and when we asked for more, we were provided with floor towels. The carpet in the room was vacuumed, but it was humid in the hotel making the carpet somewhat “sticky.” It seems the hotel struggles to keep up with Texas heat. Would recommend bringing shower shoes to walk around the room on. Bring an extra extension cord as there are limited outlets for charging due to the hotels age. The restaurant was closed due to maintenance upon our arrival, but we made due with eating out elsewhere in the stockyards. The AC unit in our room was INCREDIBLY dusty/dirty. It was obvious from out rooms condition housekeeping only does “surface” cleans, as evidence of hair, dust, and black mold in the shower indicates a “deep clean” is not done. Upon departure, my husband also noticed stains on the bed, sheets, and pillows. Overall, our stay was not bad as we did not spend majority of our time in the room, but cleanliness is a major issue and having small children made this historic stay a bit disappointing.

The Stockyards Hotel has been a special part of the NorthFt Worth experience for many years and a family favorite. Still love the unique style, easy access to great food & great music, exceptional staff. Some needed updates appear to be happening. This is original & classic old Ft. Worth!

Our granddaughter wanted to celebrate her high school graduation party at The stockyards with her family. We had the best time at Stockyard Hotel. It’s located in the center of town. Friendly staff. Great time.

The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and goody basket inviting. Will definitely recommend the hotel to friends and family. Look forward to our next stay with you when visiting Fort Worth.
