My sister and I traveled to Ft. Worth for my high school reunion. We had adjoining rooms and both were very clean. The bed in my room wasn't as comfortable as mine at home but I have one that is nearly new. The staff was quite helpful and very welcoming. You have to valet park but my sister drove so I was cool with that (I don't valet my pickup). The Ashton is the former Fort Worth Club built in 1915. It relocated in 1926 but the building continued to house offices for some of Fort Worth's wealthiest business families. It was ;vacant from 1989 until 2001 when the Historic Hotels purchased and renovated it. They maintained the period architecture and it is a beautiful building. For a downtown luxury hotel the price is good. There are some amenities you won't get in a large hotel (they only have 30 rooms) but it is very quiet. I gave it 4 stars because it would be nice to have a concierge and at least a breakfast option (they do serve breakfast on weekends). The hostess at the front desk said they may serve breakfast seven days/week starting in the fall 2023. Fort Worth has done a phenomenal job over the last few decades renovating their old downtown buildings. They had a heat wave when we were there but in cooler weather, strolling downtown Cowtown and enjoying Sundance Square would be worthwhile. I can definitely recommend visiting after Thanksgiving until Christmas when downtown is absolutely beautiful. All in all, I would stay at the Ashton again.

The Ashton provided a perfect experience for my wife and I as we escaped from the kids for a weekend. The managers at the service desk surprised us by sending up some treats and we were pleasantly surprised by the comfortable accomodations. Its location was convenient to the shops and clubs near Sundance Square, allowing us to get out and visit stores and enjoy a fabulous dinner. Before going back up for the night, I finished off the evening at the hotel with a great conversation with some other guests over cocktails. I highly recommend this hotel, its staff, and its accomodations for a relaxing weekend escape!
