Overall was a decent stay.
The hotel is opposite a large hospital , so be prepared to hear sirens at all odd hours.
There is a parking garage next door for parking. And it is paid parking .
The hotel is predominantly used by patients and their families. Which is v convenient.
I would not recommend for people on vacation.
They do have a large refrigerator and have provided extra cups and glasses for longer stay guests.

The reviews I read raved about the service at the front desk. THEY WERE RIGHT! My check-in experience was flawless. The gentleman that checked me in was incredibly nice, welcomed me, thanked me, provided 2 bottles of water and 2 snacks at no charge. The smiles, prompt service, and genuine conversation was over and above my usual experience at other venues. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was WONDERFUL. The sheets, pillows, and mattress were like laying in a cloud and I slept like a baby. I would 100% recommend this hotel and look forward to staying there again.

Our one-night stay went well. The young lady at the check-in was accommodating and friendly. If you drive a large vehicle, do not pay for parking. Park across the street towards the hospital because the parking lot is well-lit and only 7.95 for 12 hours. You will not fit in the parking garage, which is not connected to the hotel. The beds are not comfortable but there is plenty of desk space. The bathroom did not have a tub, so if you have young children, you'll have to give them a shower. The room was very spacious and our pack-n-play fit with plenty of space around it. We did not have all our children with us, so we did not use the fold-out couch. The room was also very clean. We were pleasantly surprised at the large fridge/freezer combo. This hotel is within walking distance of the hospital, and other medical facilities which was perfect for us. There are a lot of restaurants nearby, which is another bonus. Breakfast the next morning was good, except when the police showed up and someone ran out the side door. Other than that, we enjoyed a quiet breakfast of waffles, hard breakfast sandwiches, cereal, fruit, juice, and tea. Stay away from the coffee, it was pretty bad.

When we checked in, we were given a 1 bed room when we had booked and paid for a 2 queen bed room. We were told there were no rooms with 2 beds available so we had to take that one. We needed the 2 beds bc we have teenagers, not children. Never staying there again!

A quick family get-away to Dallas. We’ve stayed at Tru in other cities, so we had high expectations, but they were not met here at the downtown Dallas location. Breakfast options were extremely limited and in fact options became less over our 3-day stay. The pool was incredibly dirty and needed attention. We weren’t given enough towels for a family of 4 and there were no sheets for the pullout sofa. Overall, a mediocre stay.
