Comfort Inn Powell - Knoxville North

The room was big and clean. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Staff were extremely nice. We stayed here because downtown hotels were charging ridiculous rates for UT family weekend. It’s an easy drive to campus and an excellent choice at the price point!

This hotel should not be rated as an 8.8/10. The sheets were not well-cleaned, the comforter was stained, and the area under the mattress of the pull-out bed clearly never gets cleaned. The heavier blanket stored in the closet very visibly had several strands of dark hair on it. Tiles of the bathroom floor were cracked and wobbly and there appeared to be mildew around the tub. The room also smelled AWFULLY of cleaning chemicals and there was no window to open to air it out. We got an unlucky room for which the window was located right behind the hotel sign, so we were looking at concrete a couple feet away and got zero natural light let alone any view. The breakfast seating was not adequate; 6 of us had to crowd around a small table that would be snug for four and we saw another poor family doing the same. Definitely not worth the cost at all.

At checkin we asked what time the pool opened and were told 7am - the next day pool was closed for cleaning and we asked when it would be open - 2pm - when we went down at 2pm sign was still on pool entry - front desk said they forgot to take sign down - so we swam - after returning from dinner the pool was closed again - we were told it was being cleaned and we weren’t supposed to have used it and it should be ready the next day by noon - the communication and explanations were inconsistent- we had our 4yr old grandchild with us and the pool was supposed to be the entertainment- and can’t understand why you would have let us swim if the pool was not ready - will never stay here again .

Nice, clean and quiet. Basic breakfast offerings. My kids all found something!

Hotel property was clean. Our room was clean but had a terrible smell. Looks like it may have been pet friendly room from the scratch marks on the bathroom door. Maybe the smell came from carpets with trying to clean up pet stains ? The rest of the hotel had a clean smell and very clean atmosphere. Pool and hot tub were fun for kids. Breakfast was great! Close drive from UTK.

A lot of kids running around everywhere. Kids were throwing chairs into the pool and making a mess in the pool area

This is our 3rd stay here, it is pet friendly with a good safe area to walk. We recommended to another pet family who also thought it was a great stay.

It was very good and we had a nice visit with family

So convenient to the hospital and great rate for patient family. Helpful when I needed a plug for my phone

This was a rest stop for my family on our way to Florida. The room was nice and clean, and breakfast was great! Location was perfect close to highway, too.
