Fantastic! Just one thing, on the second morning, our alarm rang at 6am and woke our whole family. The only way the alarm could have been set was by a housekeeper the day before, so that was a little irritating. Otherwise, fantastic stay!

I will start by saying things one of my favorite hotels I stay in either for personal or business travel and I travel a LOT. We love the bar and Wellingtons and the decor of the whole hotel. In this visit, however, we were located next to The Taft Suite. This is apparently a multiple room/multi person suite and they were having a party both Friday and Saturday nights. We tried to show Grace Friday night so as not to ruin their time- but my Saturday night- after little sleep the prior night- I was frustrated. I went to the front desk at 11:00p and made them aware of the noise. They called and said they would handle- but by 11:30 the noise was back up and went on past 1:00 am- during which I finally took a melatonin to fall asleep- as did my whole family. I would recommend that you ask not to be placed in a room next to any party suites. When I made them aware- they apologized- but not much else was done. I was not happy with how it was handled but hope they took note of this and will Change their policies going forward.

We have family working at ETSU. So, it is the perfect location for us when we are in Johnson City. Gracious front desk staff. Beautiful Appalachian foothills setting.

I asked for a room away from the elevator...they gave us the 2nd room from the elevator. 😒 The room was spacious and the bathroom surprisingly large. The toilet in our room whistled everytime you flushed it. I would recommend that you ask for a room opposite streetside since the college kids revving their cars as they go by gets rather loud. Overall, it's a nice hotel that's conveniently located next to ETSU. We had breakfast at Wellington's connected to the restaurant. The sausage patties and biscuits and gravy were not good...and I noticed the couple at the table next to us felt the same way....save your money and go to IHOP, Cracker Barrel, or First Watch!

I am extremely disappointed and disgusted about the horrible experience my family and I had at the Carnegie Hotel on 5/19/23. We found what looked and smelled like vomit in our room after checking in. We travel regularly, and I have NEVER posted a negative review about a hotel before about a stay. Things happen and I understand that, but this experience and how I was treated by hotel staff goes well beyond that. We checked in around 5:30 p.m. after driving all day, and because we had dinner plans with friends - we immediately set our stuff down on the beds and ran out the door to meet our friends. When we returned that night, I took my shoes to get ready for bed and stepped in something wet between the two beds in the room. It was a giant pink spot, about 2 feet long that looked and smelled just like vomit when I got close to it. It honestly looked like someone rolled over in the bed and threw up on the floor. Thank goodness my child didn’t step in it. Front desk staff was extremely rude – to the point of another couple in the lobby yelled at them and told them it wasn’t funny while they were laughing about me finding vomit in my room. It took over an hour for them to move me to another room. The front desk alluded to the idea that I did it. I was so upset about this experience, that I sent a follow-up email to the hotel with photos, and no one responded. Stay away from the Carnegie Hotel.
