Housekeeping was subpar. Our room had an almost empty roll of toilet paper with no others around, no Kleenex. Had to go get both from front desk. Floor was dirty, 6” floor base was removed and replaced with 4” base so it looks like hell. Pool suppose to close at 10:00pm but when we checked in at 11:00pm kids were running all over in the pool area? Wish I was a kid again, so they had fun and good for them. Breakfast people were nice and the food was good. Asked for a 12:00pm checkout but when we left house keeping just stood and stared at us, like they’re going to clean anyway, yeah right. Front desk people were nice and the shuttle guy was great. Overall it’s a place to stay by the airport.

The hotel was busy and tons of kids. Nothing bad, just noisy and kids everywhere. Check in staff was friendly and kind. The lobby was full of teenagers and very noisy. The pool and spa was full of teenagers and very noisy. They had pool water everywhere so it was very slippery on the deck. Their food trash was all over, but they did clean up as they left the area just before it closed. The room was clean as was the bathroom. There was rust on the door frame in the bathroom that was ugly, just not expected at a Hilton hotel. The alarm went off at 4am from the previous guest. Overall, it was a decent stay.

Our flight got delayed so we checked in late. Check in was the most horrible experience. The lady at the counter was so rude. It’s not about what she said but how she talked to us. Very condescending voice like she was treating me like a child. She asked for ID during check in and I was having some delay finding my ID which I misplaced cause I used it from my flight so she asked for my phone number which I was saying while I was looking for my ID and she just said with a raised voice… ma’am, ma'am ma’am.. I can’t hear you with your mask on. So I looked up and told her my number instead of addressing her tone. Then I told her we need to go back to the airport to get our rental the next day, and she cut me off and said I just need the time when you want to leave… it could have been said in a different way without making me feel like I wasn’t welcomed here, then my husband came down to buy prep packed salad, she took my husbands payment but didn’t even mention that he needed yo get the dressing or the utensils right there. My husband went back down a couple of times to got those. She doesn’t seemed to be interested in her work or she doesn’t want us to be there, it’s our first time in Charleston and the trip isn’t what we hoped it would be. So much for the southern hospitality.
