Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland Washington Square

Never had a bad experience with Embassy Suites. It's our go to place when we visit family or a halfway point when traveling. Highly recommend them. Everyone is great!

Staff were kind and courteous. We were on the top floor so i think it was a bit more difficult to cool down but stayed a pretty consistent 72 so not awful. One of the door knives was visibly damaged and coming loose from one of the interior doors and there was some evidence of mildew intrusion in the bath tub wall seams but it looked as though they were working too address it with new caulking. Rooms were so much bigger than i could have imagined. There was plenty of room for everyone to stretch out. Complimentary snack bar and breakfast were fresh and appetizing; great selection! The kids loved the pool and the adults loved the hot tub. Would gladly stay again

We enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites. We like the extra space having a living area separate from the bedroom. Excellent made to order omelets in the morning make breakfast better than most hotels. Only complaint is that the housekeeping staff did not replenish the coffee and tea each day and we would have to request it from the front desk each evening. We stay at this hotel at least once a year and will continue to stay because of the convenient location to our family.

Advertised as air conditioned, barley blowing Luke warm air In my room with 4 little kids. Also everything I expensive, 5 dollars for a soda

This is a beautiful looking building and it’s a great hub access to a lot of the area. We spent 2 nights there in a 2 bedroom suite with 2 adults and 2 kids. The cost was not cheap but also not the most expensive around. Pros: accessible to main areas around town, nice staff, beautiful building, available parking (it costs extra to park) Cons: elevator was down so it’s slow to get up and down, room had a lot of maintenance issues: it was really hot weather and one of the rooms AC was not working at all, the sink in the main room was clogged, faucets are extremely loud to turn on and 2 of them didn’t get hot water, the phone receiver didn’t work, 2 of the 3 room keys stopped working on the second day, doors don’t shut all the way and have to be pushed firmly to close. There are A LOT of rooms here, it’s a cool design to have all the floors open visibly but it is really loud during the breakfast and reception hours in the room when 100’s of people are down in the dining area. Overall it was decent but I don’t think I’ll stay there again. Too crowded, loud, and expensive for having so many functioning issues.

Great friendly staff and fun place for family fun!

Pleasantly surprised on our stay here at the Embassy Suite. The room needs a little bit of touch up but overall we enjoyed it. The breakfast buffet selection is amazing. Location is pretty good close to the mall and restaurants. Couple things I didn’t like is the wait time on the elevator and that you have to pay for parking. But overall, the family and I really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again.

The property is conveniently located next to Washington square mall and parking was $10 a night. However, property can use a lot of upgrades and deep cleaning. I had to ask front desk to have someone clean the bedroom vents as it was filled with dust and lint. Elevator was super slow and buttons weren’t working. Pool had too much chlorine. While in the pool, a lot of parents just left kids on their own. For a sold out weekend, they were short staff. Also, while having breakfast, one staff member filled up the almond milk with half and half. I told him it was misleading to do that but didn’t seem to care.

We LOVED our stay in every area that has to do with the property and company. The evening reception was fabtastic ajd the breakfast is way better than any other place we stay. Our complaint was with not knowing there were 4 little league baseball teams staying there. The kids were running laps and yelling across the atrium. They had a ballroom set up for them which never seemed to be used. Instead they were pretty much running a muck. One even poured soda on my daughters head from the third floor to the bottom where she was dishing up her snacks. I would have liked to see staff being more involved in getting the parents and coaches to stop drinking and managing their kids as it isnt their home where kids can just do whatever and not effect other people.

We love staying at this property. It’s very family friendly and close to a large shopping center. We can walk to Target or the mall. We enjoy the breakfast and the nightly reception.
