Clarion Hotel Portland Airport

The staff was very helpful and friendly. There transportation was amazing and useful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Beautiful view if the river. Comfortable and clean. Great for families. Convenient to airport. Close to shopping center.

The hotel was fine. Had everything we expected at that price point. Except the pool was "temporarily" closed. Then we learned it has been closed for a long time, and the staff simply lies to customers about it. We SPECIFICALLY chose this one because it was rainy outside and we wanted a nice pool/tub for our family to exercise in. Disgusting that this hotel just literally lies to customers every day. CALL BEFORE YOU GO IF YOU WANT A POOL!

Nice room. Had hoped to use pool and hot tub as had kids but they were closed.

Specifically stayed there for the fact they advertised an indoor pool and hot breakfast. Traveling with kids, this was a priority. Found out while checking in that the pool was closed for maintenance. Had I known when booking the room I would have chosen a different property. The rooms were clean and large but my key card didn’t work at first, the TV remote didn’t work, the keys stuck on the in room phone, the only functioning I’ve machine was on the 1st floor (we were on the 4th). The advertised hot breakfast was wiped out by 7:45am leaving cereal, yogurt, toast, packaged muffins and a pancake machine that took forever for 2 mini pancakes. Overall very unimpressed.

When we checked in, the lady was very welcoming telling us where to go & what to see, love her, but the following day the guy (didn't get his name but has tattoo in his hand) seems like he doesn't want to get bothered (which we only asked if the pool is open). The guy working in the breakfast table was also rude. He follows you around and he even followed my nephew to let him know that he need to put back the serving spoon to its right place and mind you, my nephew didn't even do it and he mistaken thought it was my nephew instead of the other kid. OMG!! Instead of following a kid, why don't he just put it back from the pan to the plate.. how hard is that instead of being a spoon police and telling it to a kid..Very disappointed.
