Best Western Pony Soldier Inn - Airport

This was not at all as expected. The room was dirty, and including several things that didn’t work properly. The floor had a huge sticky spot that we blocked off to avoid walking on. The A/C rattled so loud that even with ear plugs we could not sleep. The fridge spoiled all of our food as it didn’t keep things cold. There was a large amount of black mold in the corner of the bathroom by the tub. The toilet was filthy and disgusting. The worst part of all was that I booked this so my kids would be occupied and have fun using the pool and hot tub. Since the weather was cold they got their swimming suits on and got into the the hot tub just to find out it was freezing cold. No one told us, there were no signs posted anywhere. After this they were freezing and all we got from the front desk was, “ Sorry we haven’t had it fixed yet”. As we were packing up to leave my husband went outside to bring some luggage to the car and saw a woman (sorry to be blunt here but she was a hooker) wearing nothing but a thong and jacket. I’m so thankful my kids weren’t out there to see this sight. I used to think best western’s were all held to a higher standard but clearly they are not!

It was sufficient for my family. The breakfast was a bummer. The staff was friendly and that is always a plus.

The hot tub was out of service which was one main reason I chose this hotel. There was a chirping smoke detector going off every 10 minutes all day and night and when I told them about it they didn’t do anything just kinda sighed and said “yeah, we know about it.” The break fast have my kid diarrhea for the rest of the day.

This property is right at the beach. We had a first floor room so couldn’t see over the dunes to see the ocean. It is vintage and summer weekend so has a lot of families and some noise issues between rooms . Very clean, staff very good.

We had our flights canceled twice in a roll we had to find a hotel nearby we booked it when we got there the guy was really nice and checked us in we where traveling with family and he was nice to put us all close by. The next day we found out our flight had been canceled again so we asked if we could book again the same guy helped us out. It was nice and stressed free after dealing with all the canceling flights there is a restaurant next door and gas station.
