My wife and I love Ashland and like to take a few days each year to visit. The Stratford is perfect for walking downtown, to the park, shopping and restaurants. The staff is always very helpful and friendly. The lady in the breakfast room makes me think of family, she is so friendly and so ready to help. I love the fact that the pool and hot tub is open so late. If I could change one thing it would be a better breakfast. The only hot option is oatmeal.

There were signs all over the hotel about the hotel always watching and listening to you which we found very odd. I was going to take a picture of one of the signs but forgot. At night sometimes I have to take my dog out to use the restroom and then come back in quickly but there was a sign not to prop the door because the front desk clerk is ALWAYS watching and listening. These signs made my family very uncomfortable and found it very strange. Even though the hotel was nice we will not be staying there again. Not sure what they are trying to catch people doing but once again all the signs about watching and listening to you is super aggressive and strange.

Very good location, walkable to theater, park and shops. We had a suite, it was nicely equipped and had a Murphy bed for the kids. TV cable was not working but we were told that may be an issue. With everyone’s I pads it was not a big issue. Nice breakfast area. Kids loved the swimming pool and that there were toys for them

The Stratford Inn provided a convenient stay for our visit to Ashland. The hotel is a convenient walk to Lithia Park and downtown with plenty of options for dining close by. My family enjoyed are stay and look forward to visiting again

Our room was a bit dated, but the pool was a hit for the kids and the breakfast was great. We had a number of issues (pancake flat pillows, broken heating unit, extremely loud upstairs neighbors) but staff was really kind and addressed the issues the best they could. They moved us to an upstairs room on our 4th night so we could get some sleep before our 11 hour trek home which was appreciated. I didn't know that Expedia didn't include a $35/night pet fee in our rate so we ended up paying a total of $175/night. That would be alright for a night if we were just passing through, but for an extended stay at that rate I'd just go with an Airbnb so we could get some rest.

Great hotel with awesome mountain views. Lots of parking space. Friendly and helpful workers. Beautiful and clean room. Family friendly hotel. Breakfast was ok not much varieties. Toast, oats, coffee, tea, boiled eggs and yogurt, So my kids didn’t eat. But again everyone has different choices. Checkout the Safeway next door. Thank you and we will stay here again. Strongly recommend

We have stayed here several times. The morning breakfast offerings are quite nice and I feel safe letting my kids be around the property. The pool keeps late hours which is such a treat after long days in the car.

This is a dog friendly hotel, so we were able to have our fur babies ❤️
