We had a brief stay while on a road trip. The hotel, and room, was very clean and stylish. The kids and I had a great time at the pool and jacuzzi and the food at the restaurant was very good as well.

Ashland Hills is a convenient, well-maintained, and pet friendly hotel that won't break the bank. Staff is very friendly, Luna Café is fine if you're not up for driving downtown after being on the road all day, and it is well set up for pets (or even kids, if that's your thing). And the size means it's reliably available.

It was nice to have a balcony until nighttime when folks were in the pool area until 11:30 PM talking right outside our sliding door. Also the kids upstairs were running around until after midnight and making a lot of noise. There was non one at the front desk after 9PM so they could not help. The facility is nice otherwise.

We like this hotel. It has spacious rooms and a lovely courtyard pool, which is ideal for a couple and extra kids. However, there is a slight mold smell, possibly due to the room being on the first floor/ half basement.

Great place to stay with kids and pets. Convenient to the freeway, but not the town.

Got a room for a family and dog last minute on a road trip. We were to tired to drive to the hotel we choose. I have stayed before when it was first renovated place looks good still. Quiet,Clean. We just slept and went back on the road. snagged a few Bagels and tea and coffee for the road which was helpful! Thank you.

My room was located on the 2nd floor. Apparently there are long term rooms/tenants upstairs. The people directly above my room stomped every time they walked and the children would run back and forth from one end to the other and then what sounded like dive-bombing at the other end as well as what sounded like a trampoline. This continued until after 10pm shortly after I had called the office to ask them to talk to the people above me. At 8 am it started again. I packed up and checked out.

The hotel was clean and the facilities were convenient except…The Luna Cafe and housekeeping knocking at 8:30am. The cafe was quite the awful experience. My husband and I needed coffee in the evening so I went to the cafe. The attendee was not very helpful and looked irritated that I even wanted something. The following day we decided to try a meal and give it another try. We were served by the same attendee from the previous night and greeted in the same irritated manner. We ordered a mocha, piece of cake, kids mac’n’cheese, bottled water and cookie to eat at the cafe. We got our mocha and proceeded to wait for 15 minutes for our cake and mac’n’cheese. We had to inquire to the attendee where the order was. He proceeded to ask if, “this is what you wanted” and pointed to the cake. Which we had already purchased. He then begrudgingly dished us the cake and told us that the Mac’n’cheese was arriving shortly so we then sat down at a table. The cake we ordered was incredibly stale that even our eleven year old spat it out in his napkin. Then we were served kids Mac and it was inedible as well. My husband tasted it and determined that the cheese sauce had some white wine that hadn’t been fully cooked out. The bartender came to see why nothing was eaten and we explained the situation. He agreed the cake was awful and walked away. He returned and then asked if we wanted to a piece of the chocolate. We politely declined and just left all uneaten food. No offer for comp we given.

We had a nice day, I went there with my grandkids. The pool was closed, so I can’t rate that but the hot tub is nice. Breakfast was OK, should’ve had a little bit more variety for hot food. Rooms are just basic.

We like to stay this hotel. it's old and somewhat dirty. However it has nice mid-century style and staff are nice. Family and pets friendly hotel as well. Especially my kids like breakfast and they can make wonderful waffle themselves.
