Choctaw Casino Resort – Durant

Loved my stay my family and I had a great time!

Overall we had a great time. We live in north Texas and knew they had a new resort-style pool we wanted to try out so we stayed two nights and rented a cabana in the adults only section. One night we ate at their nice steakhouse and it was actually really wonderful. Service was outstanding and the food was incredibly good, as were the cocktails and the wine. Forgot we were in Durant for a bit! Very nicely done. The cabana was great with very attentive servers and great food. Even had a portable air conditioner which was awesome. Sadly toward the end of the evening someone I believe vomited in the pool and they closed it, so that’s a reminder of where we actually were (and yes this was the adults only pool not the kiddie pool). The clientele reminded us we were in small town Oklahoma but the servers was great. Room service food was terrible, burger was like a hockey puck on a bun, wow, it was bad, but at least it cost $35 haha. The room (Sky tower premium king) was nice overall, bring your own shampoo, theirs is terrible, but bed was comfortable. Cheap towels. I mean you are in a casino. The carpet in the hallways of the rooms is Willy Wonka-loud, I guess to hide “accidents,” was very dusty/dirty along the sides so that bugged me a little but the rooms themselves seemed clean. Overall it was a fun time even if you don’t gamble and had a lot going for it for a weekend of something else to do. We will take our college kids back, they’ll love it.

The train around the area was noisy more often than I thought it would be. The train was blowing their horn more often throughout the day than I believe is the normal. Also I was disappointed that there was not any microwaves for our family to use. My family had a total of six rooms for a family vacation and we couldn’t find anywhere to warm our food that we purchased in the restaurants in the casino. We spent lots of money on food that we just wasted. The children had a good time, but it was very expensive having to throw food away that couldn’t be reheated. Thanks, Cynthia

It was a amazing stay for my wife’s birthday and the family and I had a blast thanks to the wonderful people at the hotel/casino

Our room was nice. Food choices could be better. The property is huge, be prepared to walk. The Oasis pool is not open right now which was the reason for our trip, we still had fun at the Auqa pool, adults only with a bar and hot tub. There is a great family pool and spalsh park with a slide, great for families. We will be back when Oasis is open and next time stay in the Sky Tower

Beautifully decorated from top to bottom. So much better than Winstar. If you are looking for a fun destination for the family, friends or romantic getaway this is the place.

We came here to celebrate a birthday. Once we arrived we had to spend at least 30 minutes waiting in line to check in. We had 3 rooms booked in a new tower that we paid for 2 months in advance. However they were not able to find confirmation of payment for one of the rooms saying my credit card was declined… which was definitely NOT the case.. we had to wait another 30 minutes for the manager to resolve the issue…. Not a very pleasant experience. They were not very apologetic and kept blaming Expedia… Finally, they located the payment and gave us room keys. We practically had to beg to give us a late check out since they wasted an hour of our time on my dad’s birthday we had kids with us…. I travel quite a bit but never experienced anything like that.. I understand technical issues happen but I wasn’t happy with how front desk handled it. They acted like I inconvenienced them and not the other way around.. Other than that everything was fine. We had a table reserved for birthday dinner at the steakhouse and it was very nice. Afterwords we hit the casino and stayed there pretty late.. all stuff members there were very helpful and polite. The next day we went to the pool and enjoyed ourselves there. New, clean and fun for the kiddos. Overall nice but left a sour aftertaste because of initial arrival experience. Made me feel like a number they don’t really care about and not a valued guest..

The pool was amazing i went to spend time withey grandkids and they loved the bowling,arcade and pool cant wait to do it again!
