Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Troy, an IHG Hotel

Very clean and provided nice crib for our infant, rooms were very large and had nice showers

We arrived to learn that the desk clerk canceled our reservation because we didn’t pay cash. I explained to her that we booked through Hotels.com and showed her the receipt. She then took a bit to find us a room. By then my 11 month old son had woke up and was upset. The process took about 15-20 minutes to get a room. We couldn’t sleep due to a barking dog in the adjoining room next door to us. In the morning we were woke up by the fire alarm and a hotel worked telling us to get our baby and our stuff and get out as there was a fire and nothing like that had happened before. We gathered our stuff and got out as the fire fighters were coming down the hallway. The hallway was cloudy with what appeared to be smoke. So, in the end. We had to make an 8 hour trip back to New York without a shower and had to brush our teeth in a rest area on the highway…. Definitely, not a good experience for our trip.

I enjoy staying there but the cleaning crew needs to up their game. They were nasty kid finger prints on the mirror outside the bathroom and I found pubic hairs at the bottom of the toilet. Otherwise, all was good.

Staff was great, breakfast was really nice for me and my kids. The pool area was nice and clean.

Check in was at 3 but we couldn’t get into our room until 4 because it wasn’t ready. Wasn’t the most convenient when you have to wait with 4 kids. Also, the pool stated it was open until 11pm. When it hit 10pm, the lights went out. When asked, the service desk stated they couldn’t control the lights but we could swim in the dark. My young kids were too afraid and disappointed since they had just gotten in the pool. The hotel overall was nice, but we’ll probably choose differently in the future.

The hotel rented out to some hockey teams, and the kids were knocking on doors till midnight. I literally went downstairs to check out because it was so bad as I came upstairs they were knocking on my door. I caught them. The hotel has no cameras in the hallways they were very nice and offered me a full refund.

We were visiting family in the area and needed a place to stay for one night. We did a lot of research before deciding on the Holiday Inn Express. We were very happy with our choice! Very nice room. Large, clean bathroom. Breakfast had a lot more to offer than most other hotels. Comfortable bed. Great room for the money!

We arrived and immediately heard the high pitched noise coming from the refrigerator and soon realized the internet was not working. We let the front desk know and used white noise on our phone at night to drown the sound from the refrigerator and the kids were unable to use their devices at night nor could we do any work from the room. Internet was off and on for the four day stay. Toilet was clogged so my husband used the ice bucket to fill it with water until it went down! To top things off,... The person in the room next to us came over to let us know she found a bedbug on the curtain and we had one more day to stay there! The hotel did not let anyone in the hotel know so we are grateful for the person who did, so we could use caution with our luggage when we got home! I hope this helps someone making a decision on a hotel in Troy Ohio.

I didn’t like the juice machine was either not working or was not filling with the various flavors. I did like there was a breakfast, but honestly, there being no juice ruined it. Pool was nice kids loved. I would give 4⭐️ out of 5.
