Room was up a standard room as far hotel preference is concerned.. staff was sub par there was only one person that shinned above a sweet girl Tiana I believe her name was she so helpful and kind.. older lady was not nice kind of rude not sure if she was having a bad night but it showed I asked for a pillow and blanket she demanded I come to the desk after abruptly hanging up the phone. but only offered me a blanket not the pillow..the pillows in the room went flat when I laid in them.. young man that worked behind the desk seemed nice but could clearly see that he was stressed when I asked for a plunger and towels the next day because the toilet over flowed and had use my towels to clean the water up. When I asked for maintenance to come check out the faulty toilet they left soaking towels in my bathtub and then my hairbrush went missing - I checked everywhere and could not find it All in all it was great to be with family and we had somewhere to sleep so I was however I am not sure if I would stay here again and if I did it would only be because of the sweet girl that so very kind and breakfast was very good !

Check in process was dissapointing as we had to wait 2.5 hours after being told we could do eco in early. Pool was closed and gave our family ear infections. However, Breakfast was superior. We also had problems finding someone working late night when we had issues and wanted to check out. Would look for different hotel when in area next visit.

The hotel was ok, there was some hair in our shower that they missed. Thankfully, I bring my own cleaning supplies to clean the room before my family enters. That being said, the room was just fine. Blackout curtains were great, the location was perfect, the surrounding area was clean with plenty to do close by. The manager, Ben, was friendly. The cleaning staff were also very kind…they welcomed us before the front desk staff and we were the only ones in the lobby! I cannot comment on “room service” bc we did not schedule it. We simply caught them in the hall and they kindly took our trash. What was NOT fine was the banging on the adjoining room door at ’midnight when we were sleeping. The screaming and yelling from them in the middle of our first night stay. They had kids, but so do we and ours know better. Our second night was the same, could hear the yelling through the walls. I’m sure they could hear us talking as well, so I did not complain. On the third night, we had new neighbors. They sounded like two couples. They checked in happy, they went out and returned in a raging fight in the room/hallway. Curse words of all sorts. Turned the AC fan on to tune them out. We didn’t frequent the pool much, when we went the hotel staffs children were hanging out there. Lastly, the hidden fees and charges were $100+ what I thought we were paying. That was a shock, but I didn’t want to lose any money if we left and everywhere else was fully booked, so we didn’t have much choice.

I stayed two nights with my family on the third floor. We had one family member not feeling well and stayed in the room while the rest of us went to the beach. We placed the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. An individual that did not appear to be affiliated with the hotel entered the room and was surprised to find someone inside and he quickly fled. A few hours later the maids attempted to enter (which was now latched closed) and made quite a disturbance, yelling and swearing loudly. Upon learning of all this I visited Maykayla at the front desk to describe what occurred. She was surprisingly adversarial and was was unwilling to acknowledge that anything like this had occurred. In my years of traveling I have never encountered anyone as confrontational and unprofessional as this woman. I wasn't even asking for anything, just describing what had happened. Absolutely baffling interaction. Something is off at this hotel - two of the rooms on my floor had doors standing open all night with no occupants inside, which is odd. As expensive as this place is, I feel sure you can find safer hotels with more accommodating staff. I'll avoid this hotel during future visits to Wilmington.
