Ocean Isle Inn

Loved the indoor and outdoor pool options. It was so hot and it was lovely to take a break from the sun while still being able to enjoy a swim with our children. The proximity to the central portion of the island with the shops was great. We didn’t have an ocean view room but the views from the outdoor patio were lovely. Appreciated the outdoor shower to wash off the sand before going to the room and pool. The breakfast was limited but adequate. A nice bonus that not all offer. We would book again.

So, there was some work being done on the parking lots which made parking a bit of a headache/hassle. It was also loud, but it didn't last long, and I understand needs to be done before peak season. The worst thing was I had family to visit, and they had to park across the street on basically a dirt road. If they are going to require a guest pass on the cars and for them to park across the street, they should have a lot like the hotel next them does. And if they're parking across the street, what's the point of getting a pass too?

Very comfortable stay. The staff are very nice and helpful. The only issue was hearing the customers above us walking and kids jumping. It stopped by 9pm. I would recommend staying on the 3rd level. We will visit again but stay on the top floor. Otherwise, we enjoyed the stay. It was clean and enjoyable. There was a church service on the beach on Sunday.

We enjoyed our stay. We were there for our youngest daughters birthday. It was very family friendly. Not crowded at all. All the amenities we needed; breakfast, directly on the beach, walking distance to so many extra things to do, nice heated pool, hot tub, nice outdoor pool. The only recommendation would be to offer some type of protein for breakfast.

Our stay was family friendly from the start. As you check in you are greeted by friendly staff and a smile. We were given a basic tour of the facilities which I thought was a great personal touch. The inn is small and not fancy/modern but it was perfect the way it was. Plenty of towels and clean beds. We had a wonderful stay right on the beach and walking distance to the little downtown including a park and movie night. Only issue we had was a lack of laundry facility to dry our wet beach/pool clothes. Other than that our stay was very pleasant.

This inn is so adorable! The room was recently updated. The ocean view with the cute porch made the experience. There were little negatives, but they made a big impact on our stay. The bathroom door sticks so you have to pull with strength to get out every time. Since my room adjoined to the next, the door separating was not sealed. This led to hearing a woman stubbing her toe one night, and her FaceTime conversation the next morning. Needless to say that we (a married couple) were more platonic than romantic 😕. I would stay again after all renovations are completed, but as a family trip.

when we got there my husband went to check in. He came back out and said the lady wanted me to come in because reservation was in my name. I went in and she goes"why did you book through expedia and not our site?" I said because the hotel was on there and I thought is was a good value. She was like dont do that book on our site, now I cant give you a receipt or see how much you paid. I felt like I was being scolded as a kid. So I jist blew ot off. We went to hotel room and noticed a terrible smell, like urine. Told the desk adgent and they said salt gets stuck in air conditioner so they cleaned it. Still smelled in the room. We had to go to front desk several times for towels and toilet paper because they never gave us enough and it seemed like they never swept the floor during our stay which I thought was weird because of all the sand.Breakfast was just ok. If we go back I would stay at hotel next door instead, which we stayed in last year, the Islander Inn.

Nice beachside hotel, family oriented, close to Pier, very walkable and short drive to other locations

so fun and easy. wish we had a little kitchenette, but other than that it was perfect for our family of four! SO CLOSE TO BEACH! so easy to run back to room if we forgot something. so easy to put things in the car. this is the most convenient location! super comfy beds!
