The Gould Hotel

Hotel is old but rooms and baths renovated, clean, comfortable. “Breakfast,” on the other hand, awful. No yogurt, sugary kids cereals only. Plastic wrapped plain bagels the only bread. No decaf coffee in breakfast area. Kureg in room didn’t work. Manager “sorry” but offered no adjustment to bill.

Clean, simple room in a convenient location for a very reasonable price. Normally stay in Auburn when coming to visit family and tried The Gould just as a change of pace. Significantly better hotel option than anything in Auburn in my opinion. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful stay. The tv needs updated but understandable. The room was beautifully remodeled. Felt comfortable. Manager was wonderful and understanding when some of our family had to leave for their sick child.

Always an enjoyable stay at the Gould. I stay here when seeing shows at Del Lago, as it is more affordable and has several family owned restaurants in the neighborhood. There is a nice walking trail down the road, a canal and rich history to explore.

We came from Virginia for our daughter to tour and stay over night at Wells College . The Gould was easy to book , check in was smooth and very informative. The room was everything we expected and for a historical building very modern and nicely decorated. The rooms and hotel in itself was very clean thank you housekeeping!!!! The food and service and the dining room was fantastic and the atmosphere was amazing! Everyone was very kind, welcoming and had great hospitality. If our child chooses Wells we are sure to return!!! We highly recommend for a weekend getaway in a small beautiful town!

This was a wonderful and fun place for the family to stay while visiting our daughter in college. It is beautifully updated, easy to get to and the beds were really comfortable!

The Gould was perfect for our getaway. We went hiking earlier in the day , checked in and was greeted by the nicest gentleman. They had a live band in the restaurant bar area! Our room was a King size room absolutely beautiful, clean , and romantic for a night without the kids !

We have stayed at this hotel several times while visiting my family. The property is located close to several places to eat, and points of interest. The rooms are very clean, and have a very great vibe. The best thing about the hotel was the staff. We met the GM Anthony, who was very professional, and took pride in his job. The other staff were also awesome. Liz at the hotel bar, was so friendly and welcoming every time we saw her. We will definitely be back.

Clean, modern room. Friendly front desk. Mattress hard as a rock, making sleeping difficult. Near-open-concept shower in a heater-less bathroom made for a cold experience and a flooded floor. Breakfast was a sorry affair, plastic wrapped bagels and kid's cereal packages, 3 apples, the worst coffee I've had in my life, tea, milk.
