The hotel had a nice modern look and was one of the cleanist places we've stayed. But it was very overpriced for what we experienced. The room was situated on a side of the hotel near the huge HVAC system and all night we could hear a low rumble that was even worse we you put you head against the pillow. The pool was so filthy you couldn't get it. When we inquired with the staff the acknowledged the problem and said it was because so many people had been in the pool that every time the cleaning people came in they couldn't take care of it because the pool was in use. We had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and it was mediocre at best. I had scrambled eggs and some parts were like rubber while other parts were gelatinous and undercooked. My other family members meals were equally as bad. I would have expected this type of stay from a low budget hotel not one that presents itself as being a resort.

It was our first time in Clayton and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the 1000 Islands Harbor Hotel.
We brought 2 of our granddaughters with us.
We loved the river view from our room.
The swimming pool was used every day.
We enjoyed our meals in the Hotel dining room, there were good options from the kiddies menu too.
The grounds were beautiful and there was lots of space for the girls to ride about on their scooters.
All in all it was a wonderful stay.

Great stay! This hotel came recommended by family and it did not disappoint. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The view of the river was awesome, watching the boats drive by. Just an overall nice stay.

This is a beautiful property with a gorgeous view, set in a charming little town. My little family really enjoyed our stay! The one downside was that the indoor pool was absolutely freezing. Our three year old insisted on swimming for a short time but even he got too cold and wanted to get out with shivers. All in all, a beautiful property with a lot of nice amenities. Starbucks coffee in our fourth floor lobby was a huge perk starting at 6am!

It's a very nice hotel, but like every place now there isn't enough staff. Food was good, but it took a long time. One elevator wasn't working and at one point...both were NOT working. Check in time was supposed to be at 4 pm. That was late and I had two grandkids. So many people complained the staff were immune to it. I would recommend a VRBO instead of paying this amount.

Excellent atmosphere, lovely location and the staff was lovely as well. Next time I would book the water view side instead of the village side. I did on the second day have a large family of children booked into the room next to me, literally a locked connecting door. While this hotel is quite expensive I did not appreciate the yelling, continuously running back and forth children in their room, and screaming crying at one point children, next to single, quiet me for 2 days., that was disappointing. The toilet was leaking water from the base alittle. Also there was yellow jackets trying to make a nest right next to my balcony, multiple bees flying around. The room was spectacular but I did notice areas on the floor that had not been vacuumed or dusted upon my first entry. I also think at the price to stay at the hotel they should provide a continental breakfast., not just coffee only. It is an extremely expensive hotel. Also when checking in they informed me that they only daily clean upon request, or if needed towel replacement, which I was ok with, but that is not the case, someone does enter your room daily to drop off towels., I was alarmed at first because I wasn't expecting that. Overall an excellent visit. I will definitely be returning in the future.

This is a lovely Hotel. Highly recomend. I didn't care for the rough sheets, they seem to give my skin a problem. But could just be a personal allergy. Also there was way too much clorine in the pool. The grandchildren had to hurry up and shower after using hot tub and pool as their skin turned red and itched badly. Other wise without these two things we had a wonderful stay and enjoy ourselves. We could of saved a lot of money with our Military Discount but Expedia didn't off this option to us. Very disappointing. But the Harbor Inn does honor Military except us as we paid through Expedia......

The hotel and its setting on the river is great! The dining room is awkward. The waitresses have to carry trays out of the dining area through a hallway and into the kitchen. It makes the way staff unavailable for incidentals and creates seemingly longer wait times.
Our rating is lower because we were placed in the midst of families with small children traveling together. They seemed to have a lot of fun but the yelling and racing in the hallway after 11 pm was annoying for us. Also at dinner we were placed so close to an extended family with many children under the age of 7 that it was like we joined their table. The dining area was half full, we could have been seated in another area.
