Capt. Thomson's Resort

Enjoyed staying here for a family wedding. Great view of Alex Bay, easy to get to and could walk to restaurants and shops. Apartment was well furnished and clean.

Capt. Thomsons Resort is our favorite family destination every summer. It’s easy to book rooms. This year, our rooms were ready earlier than ever! The balconies and views are delightful. The pool and surrounding area are awesome. Desk staff is courteous and helpful!

The room was spotless and the color theme beautiful! Location w/balcony overlooking water was perfect! The next time we will stay on top floor as family above us had heavy footsteps .:(

Friendly office staff. They were able to accommodate us a little early, but not very clean. At first glance and smell, it seemed cleaned. As we started to unpack our stuff we noticed shredded paper and kids stickers on the side of the far bed. Hair all about the bathroom floor. Pulled back the covers and black specs all about and again, dinosaur sticks. Pulled the sheets back over and slept on top. Spilt beer down the dresser/entertainment center. Dried down the front, but still wet on the inside of the drawers. This motel is perfectly placed. You can walk and find food, drinks, dessert and shopping in just a few blocks. Hop on Uncle Sam’s boat your. It was great! This place just needs a good cleaning. A good vacuum both inside and out on the balcony and some touch up paint would go a long way.

My wife and I stayed on Cap't Thompson's Resort for a few days in early July, 2022. This is a great location, within walking distance of everything in Alexandria Bay. Room was recently remodeled, very clean and just perfect. Parking at resort is very convenient. The staff was friendly and available to help with anything. Our room had a jacuzzi and I recommend you get a room with one. We will definitely stay there again and will recommend this place to our friends and family.

We loved having an affordable option that was in the absolute best location. Tons of places within walking distance. The only downfall was the television situation. Cable tv isn't really a necessity anymore. Would much rather have access to the smart tv apps. Which were all locked from guest usage. Even if you were to sign into your own account. Hard to entertain kids in the evening with very limited channels. Other than that, we spent most of our time outside. The views were excellent.
