We stayed one night on our way home from Cooperstown. We loved the dinner social and the pool for the kids. Breakfast was great in the morning

If there was a word to describe above excellent or perfection, that's the word I would use for this hotel. Everything, from cleaning, service, employees to delicious breakfast, great pool, easy parking.....absolutely everything was 10 . They even have laundry on site and it's free. The rooms are very spacious and come well equipped with everything needed (they have full kitchens in the suites!!!). We are a family of five with 3 children traveling around US for a year and so far this is the best hotel we've stayed in....and for this reason, moving forward, will try to book everywhere else we travel in US a Homewood Suites hotel.

The staff and manager were extremely rude! When we tried to cancel our fully refundable stay (according to the website) due to a family emergency more than 48 hours in advance we were flatly refused. Hotels.com customer service tried to help but they were refused as well. When we called, as advised by Hotels.com) the manager was hostile and offensive. He actually said we should cancel - without refund - so that he could sell the room at a then higher price. We refused but believe he did it anyway. There are many other places to stay in Albany - do not choose this one! We will never again book with this chain.

My family had a wonderful experience here. All staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious, and our kids enjoyed the pool and outdoor area. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

Cleanliness and friendliness were both excellent. The room was perfect for the two of us and 4 kids--very spacious especially for the price. Only complaint would be how uncomfortable the beds were but everything else was absolutely amazing! We would definitely stay here again.

The breakfast hostess Shelly was such an awesome person. And it was nice of the GM to let me pay with cash as I left my card at home. But I was reminded so many times about me paying with my card and not cash that I wasn’t happy due to the fact that it was my birthday .and it made me feel very uncomfortable . From the time I walked in and had to wait 30mins with my children to wait for an answer if I couldn’t or could’ve paid cash to stay or be disappointed. I was also reminded about my card after breakfast and checked out. My tip to front desk is not to make guests feel sad or uncomfortable when someone’s birthday is the same day they checking in. You always want to make it pleasant and help the guest’s the best they can and leave a welcoming impression so they can come back again ;)
