Comfort Inn Gallup I-40 Exit 20

They are in the middle of a remodel. The finished part looks great. The elevator wasn't working and they claimed they called us to inform us of that issue, but they never did. They wanted to put my family of 8 on the top floor. They ended up spliting us up, one room on the top and one on bottom. They then came late at night knocking on my door, waking my kids up to have sign a paper they forgot to have us sign at check in. So the condition is on its way to looking great, but the service was lousy.

On the Internet was a hot tub advertised because of this and the indoor pool we have booked and paid an exorbitantly high price. Upon arrival, we learned that the hot tub is currently being renovated and that probably already for months and that will drag on for months. So why was it advertised? The indoor pool was closed on arrival due to contamination. It was nobody's fault, but we were not reimbursed a single cent for this inconvenience. While we were sitting at breakfast, the lights were turned off at 9 o'clock sharp to kick us out. Comfort is different. The kids ran up and down the room 2x, and the phone rang..... The refrigerator was unplugged, so warm on arrival. Papers on the wall was partly filthy. Toilet was clogged. The janitor came only after 30 minutes. We asked for cleaning utensils, these were not given to us, but we had to wait until the cleaning lady finally arrived after 45 minutes at our room. The room was way too small for 4 people. There is no lobby. No place to stay. Since the kids are sleeping, we need a lounge to talk and can't stay in the room. The luggage cart was about to fall apart. Very rickety. The inventory was very outdated. The microwave and refrigerator certainly from the 2010s. The windows were fogged and moldy on the inside.

The stay was great. The one down side was the pool was closed early due to cloudy water. My kids were really looking forward to jumping in the pool.

This was the longest night I have ever spent in a hotel!!! Because we had our dog with us (15 pounder!) they put us in the "pet corrider" I assume. Tile floors, so we heard our dog clicking around all night, other dogs walking by (clicking) and rude guests!!! We had a family next to us with kids and they were running in and out their door all evening....meaning...open the door and LET IT SLAM shut, whether entering or exiting their room SLAMMING DOOR ALL EVENING and started early the next morning. TILE FLOORS??? REALLY?

They said pet friendly. They did not specify anything about a weight limit. We drove 600 miles and we’re exhausted with kids and my (very well behaved, potty trained) German shepherd. The woman was very unfriendly and refused to let us stay there because my dog was a bit too heavy. So Inconsiderate and unhelpful

We were busy with a family funeral. At end of day, we wanted to enjoy a hot tub but the sauna was not available. Really, it meant so disappointing. But we just rested up for the night and left.
