Best Western Kokopelli Lodge

A last-minute reservation for our family because of a winter storm on our drive home. We enjoyed the breakfast, which was excellent. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Very happy with our accomodations!

Very clean, nice motel. Perfect for my family, on our road trip. The rooms are very clean and laid out nicely. The area is quiet, and across the street from a pizza place and convenient store.

I scheduled a stay at this property for one night during a family road trip. Three hours after the refund cut-off (for a stay the following night), we learned about a major winter storm that shut down roads and included threat of avalanches. For the sake of safety, we opted to delay our trip. I called the property immediately upon learning about the storm & requested they refund the stay (for the NEXT night, not that evening) even though it was few hours past the deadline. They never bothered to contact me or refund the money.

At first, I was concerned it is a motel because we have two toddlers. However, the room was very bright and extremely clean. Beds were comfortable and we didn’t hear any noise the whole night. We had a great stay and I highly recommend this motel when you visit Clayton.

The stay was ok. The room was updated and mostly clean. The shower drain was clogged with hair so my shower wasn't super pleasant. I was hoping to enjoy the pool after a long drive but I wasn't able to. A bunch of people who apparently knew staff members there were coming to hang out drinking and smoking. They didn't appear to be guests (no one had ID cards to come in). The kids were screaming and running laps around the pool even using the emergency lifeguard rescue rings as toys. It was super disappointing given how hot it was and how long I had driven that day. The staff for breakfast was super nice. This may be the nicest place to stay in this town but I really do wish I would have driven a bit longer to stay somewhere else given the experience.

We have stayed at the Best Western Kokopellia and loved it! So on our trip this year with another family we decided to stay there again because we loved it so much. We booked the rooms over a month before our stay and specifically called to request that we have rooms next to each other. They assured us that we would have rooms next to each other. Well when we arrived at the hotel, we were on the second floor and our friends were on the 1st floor. When I explained to them that we had requested and been assured that we would have rooms next to each other they replied that yes it was noted to be that way. The young girl that was helping us responded that since our room was directly over our friends that we were next to them. So if anyone is requesting a room next to anyone please be specific of where you want your room! I hope the management will contact us to make this right!
