We stayed at five different hotels during a road trip. This was our favorite hotel of the trip. It was a great value for the price. A family-owned property that was very convenient to the Carlsbad Caverns.

Our family enjoyed our stay here. We visited the living zoo then swam here. The kids loved it. The rooms are spacious and clean. We were very comfortable.

This is a nice little motel. They have a water park attached which is fun for the kids. Unfortunately it's only open from like 1:00 to 7:00. The staff was super friendly Merry courteous and answered all of our questions about Carlsbad galleries which I'm truly answered 100 times already with grace and patience. The one issue we have was that our door lock didn't seem to work correctly. I reported it to the front desk and they didn't really seem to care. Also we have a question clean towels and for some reason housekeeping didn't get that word so we had to go ahead and get clean towels ourselves from the front desk. They offer a fun little Continental breakfast ie cold cereal package muffins and some fruit in the morning which is in bed if you're in a grab a bill on your way out.

part of a family trip. Great place for kids and decent pool for "adults". Breakfast was not rememberable but was provided. Warning....on place to eat in town and it closed at 3p. Eat before coming to hotel...or stay in Carlsbad. 20 miles each way.

Honestly if you are going to Carlsbad Caverns you might as well stay in Carlsbad and just drive the 35mins to the cave. While this place had a few pros it had more cons to outweigh it. Pros: The rooms were clean even if they are falling into disrepair. The beds were clean from what I could see Office staff was nice - especially the gal in the morning who was super sweet to my daughter. Cons: The beds were uncomfortable The tiles were chipped, the mirrors were chipped, the sinks had no stoppers, and the entire place is tiled so you better hope your feet aren’t wet in the slightest while you walk around. The motel restaurant was out of a lot of menu options (we had about three things to choose from) and was only open from 8am to 3pm so you are screwed for dinner basically. Not worth the $57 we spent there for lunch. Especially since the food was mediocre. The pool was gross. Whatever they are cleaning or not cleaning it with isn’t working. Algae was built up in the splash area, the slides were hardly on and so uncomfortable to go down and the pool water had a sour taste according to my daughter and other children at the pool The pool also caused a huge allergic reaction on my daughter that left red bumps on her for days and blisters on her inner thighs. Which the doctor believes was an algae rash due to the lack of maintenance. Hindsight I shouldn’t have let her play in the splash pad area but it wasn’t till the rash broke out we realized what was going on with the splash

After I already paid and called to say I wouldn’t be there because of a family emergency a staff member harassed me by text message threatening I would be paying a no show fee, after I explained I already paid for my room in full and had called 4 days prior to let them know I wouldn’t be there but did not expect a refund and because I paid for the room in full they could not charge me a no show fee. The person then wanted to call me to discuss my emergency. The harassment continued until past 11:00pm at night.

This is a great family vacation spot near Carlsbad Caverns. The water park adds a great feature for kids. It is an older hotel that has been updated. Still recommend bringing a power strip as there are few plugs for your electronics. I will recommend to anyone who wants a nice getaway!

Great place very close to the caverns. If you have kids this is the place to stay. They have a great water park for the kids that’s included.

Large room, free breakfast but on both occasions there was no food available the 1st visit around, 2nd time very little pickings. It would have been nice if the hotel had mentioned before hand that the Cafe was closed for the 4th July weekend. Muffins, cereal, juice coffee was the choice and as I stated breakfast until 1000. at 0930 the office was locked and it wasn’t until 0950 that someone returned and there was,t much to be had. The carpets in the rooms NEED to be cleaned, after 5 trips to the bathroom barefoot, my feet were BLACK! No telling when the carpets were last steam cleaned. Internet not the good either. Pool needs to be cleaned the kiddie pool was firthy. No place to eat either that the cafe was closed so had to make a 18 mile drive to Carlsbad for lunch and dinner. Again had I know that I would of found another hotel to stay at.

The place was perfect for families. The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The pool was cool but it has very short hours 1-7pm. So close to the National park!
