Hanover Inn Dartmouth

It’s a lovely place to stay but the furniture is tired. There are child safety locks on all wall receptacles and they’re impossible to use. Even the staff complains about them. Nice service, very attentive.

I traveled with my dog, so I was put on the dog floor, which quite frankly, was like a kennel with all the barking dogs and crying children. I was charged extra to have my dog, yet I think I should have been the one getting the discount. When I asked to be relocated, I was given a different room, that I was told had no view, which is true, as I was looking out over the rooftop of the kitchen and metal air vents, with little sky to be seen! It was truly depressing. And the room had no atmosphere, one picture above the bed,. Yes, was spacious, but as though I was in a basement, I never would’ve expected this from the Hanover Inn, especially for the price. It has gone downhill since I was last there. I won’t be quick to return.

It is lovely hotel and nice location, but it was not best choice for families. We stayed two nights and our room was not refreshed—housekeeping did come by but it was at 6:30. I understand it was busy, but would have been nice if trash emptied even if room could not be made.
