Hampton Inn & Suites Omaha Southwest-La Vista

Woke up in middle of night to someone opening the adjoining room door where our kids were!! That’s why we always use the extra door stop in hotels!

Desk staff were very nice and accommodating to my family

Got there and check in was a pain in the butt. They said we had not paid but we did through Expedia. So that was embarrassing and my kids were all over the place because they had stay in the car wanted to swim them we are standing wait to get things figured out.

The Hotel was close to the wedding we attended at Mahoney state park. The staff was very friendly when we arrived and when we left. the breakfast was great. We had our grandkids and they had a great time swimming.

We were there for a soccer tournament…receptionist was not customer friendly! Other family members were staying there, as well, and were treated poorly, too! Bed mattress was way too firm for us. AC didn’t stay on the cooler temp setting…so we would wake-up hot! You might want to take your own Kleenex along plus an extra role of tp. They only provide less than 1/2 a role. Bummer, too, if you like a towel for body and 1 for hair and same for your spouse. We had 2 total! Expect much more for the price!

Nice stay but unfortunately the room above us had a noise issue. It sounded like children jumping off the beds on our head. We called the front desk and it stopped (sort of) but at 7:00 am the next day it started up again. We called the front desk again and it stopped (sort of). If we had planned to stay longer we definitely would have moved to a quieter room.

We had a great experience staying at the Hampton Inn. It was easy to get to from Interstate 80 and pretty centrally located to everywhere we wanted to go for entertainment with the kids (with one 10-15 minutes). Breakfast was good and our room had two double beds and a couch so it fit my family of five VERY comfortably! The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend and would stay again.

Staff was all super friendly and helpful, pool was family friendly and everything we needed was close by! Great location and great hotel!

When we checked in, we were told that the room we booked with two queens and a pull out sofa for our family of five was not available. We told them we specifically booked this hotel and that room style so that our family of five, could stay in one room. The front desk staff told us that the Expedia hotel room descriptions are never accurate and that we would have to get second room. So, we spent twice what we budgeted for, to get a second room. We are grateful we didn’t have to find a different hotel, but felt frustrated that the hotel staff were very unapologetic about not having the specific room we booked. No rollaway beds were available, although I understand that many hotels don’t have these any more. I am grateful my family was able to afford the cost of a second room, as my kids were tired and hungry after a long day in the car, but I was truly surprised at the hotel’s lack of availability of what we needed. I was also surprised at the lack of empathy from the front desk. We’ve never had front desk tell us that the room descriptions are never accurate on Expedia. We use this website often for road trips and hotel accommodation and never had trouble. In the future, we will reconsider using Expedia or at least call hotels directly to see if they have the type of accommodation we need and what we are trying to book online. Expedia is a fabulous website, with so many positive aspects to it, but the inaccuracy this time caught us off guard. Sincerely, A consumer
