This was a unique hotel stay that my family enjoyed very much. It was fun to have our own little cabin, with a kitchen so we could make our own breakfast. Right outside was the firepit and a hammock, which made for a fun night of smores-making. Smore kits were provided by the hotel. The cabins were located right near the Yellowstone West Entrance and the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, which was perfect for our trip.

these are great cabins to stay in with the family when traveling to Yellowstone. The separate bedroom was a great feature. The hotel provides free washer and dryeres to use during your stay which was a huge plus.

A bit outdated. Housekeeping wasn’t great. Place wasn’t real clean when we got there.
Great location, kids liked the bunk beds and pool!

Kaitlyn was absolutely one of the nicest, most pleasant receptionists that I have encountered this entire trip. She was genuinely helpful and accommodating. The cabins were perfect!! Everything that my family of 4 was needing in a space

Nice cabins and perfect for our needs traveling with two grandkids. We loved the firepit and the S’mores kits were a nice touch. The kids loved the National Parks Monopoly game! Wish we were staying here longer….

I’m giving 5 stars because the staff mailed us an expensive makeup kit we left behind FOR FREE. The cabins themselves were cute and great for our family of 6 plus 2 dogs. Very clean and private. If I am honest, the pics are deceiving because they make the cabins look like they’re surrounded by trees; they really aren’t. But it was a great experience overall with wonderful service.

This place was great—a wonderful way to experience Yellowstone. The cabins were very comfortable and came with a number of utilitarian extras like binoculars and an ice scraper. It’s also a fantastic location. The wildlife center across the street (not affiliated) was fun and reasonably priced. The hotel gave you a little smores kit for the fire pit. There were a few annoying things. There was no proper soap in the shower, just bolted on lotions like a cheap hotel. I mean for like $600 a night throw me a bone here. It’s a nice place but not luxurious. There was stuffed bear on the bed but it was for sale? Dude just roll the bear price into the room and give it to us. Now it seems like you’re trying to trick kids into hounding their parents rather than offering a nice surprise. The staff were frosty. The front desk folks weren’t flat out rude but they could see rude from where they were. You had to fist fight someone to get your room cleaned. It’s super annoying to take time out of your vacation to request maid service each and every day. One day as we were yet again requesting they clean the room, the woman at the front desk asked which parts of the room specifically I wanted cleaned. Seriously? I didn’t bring a hotel room cleaning spreadsheet on my family vacation. The room part of the room haha. But overall I would stay there again and recommend it. I suspect the staff doesn’t bother emphasizing service because they know it’s a nice place in a great location.

We stopped at Explorer Cabins of West Yellowstone after our last day in the park. It was a lovely area, about 5 min from the west entrance. The cabins were well appointed with things you may need for the park- walking sticks, binoculars, flash light. The kitchen was nice after a few days in a standard hotel room. My kids are still talking about the s’mores kits left for us that evening and the fire. We would rent here again!

Parking is outback of the cabin therefore you have to walk around with all of your luggage. There was a used sanitary napkin laying on the parking lot and because of the poor lighting my daughter in law stepped on it and had to deal with. It was no better than a motel room and cost twice as much. The beds were very uncomfortable and the fire pit out front is to little for more than one family to enjoy at a time so good luck using the s’mores kits they leave in the “cabin” for you. No I would recommend or book when we visit again.
