Marriott St. Louis West

We had booked for 2 adults and a child, when we checked in they only had king rooms left, said they had over sold the doubles. So not the most desirable accommodations having no option but a roll away, which takes up even more room in a not so large hotel room to start.

Your hotel was beautiful and very staff friendly. Our AC did not work correctly but was fixed ASAP. The best lounge area ever. Lots of activity and just a fun place to be. One huge issue....at 11:30pm the guests next to us were so loud, kept us awake with hallway noise and room noise. Adults and children voices were just terrible. Did not complain since I did not know who I might be dealing with next door.

When my room was too loud because of kids running and yelling, the manager quickly, kindly and apologetically changed my room.

Excellent location with access to many restaurants and important spots of St. Louis. The hotel installations are clean, and it has a very convenient fitness room where you can workout at your convenience (opened 24 hours). I definitely recommend it for a stay during family or business trips.

The outside of the hotel looked nice, located in a great neighborhood, plenty of parking spaces. The lobby was fairly spacious. We arrived at 4:30p to check in. There was about a 15-20 minute wait in the line. The lady at the front desk said that housekeeping was in the middle of cleaning our room and should be less than an hour and she took our phone number to call us when our room was ready. We left to eat dinner and came back at 7:20pm, and went to talk to a different lady at the front desk. We told her that we did not receive a call, and stated they haven’t even started cleaning our room. Stated that she needed my phone number again. I asked her about the hot tub that was shown on hotels.com, she stated that they don’t have one. I told her that was false advertising. She stated that hotels.com does that. She gave me two cards up to $10 each for drinks and hors d’oeuvres. We ended up going to the outdoor pool to swim, no towels available outside. We got a call around 9:02pm stating our room was ready. Next morning we went to check out. The man at the front desk did not ask how our stay was, asked him for a receipt and said it would be emailed to me. He was rude and short with me. Didn’t even thank me for staying at the hotel. This by far has been the worst experience we ever had, especially for the type of hotel we stayed at. Very unhappy about the way it all turned out and disappointed. There were multiple families dealing with the same issue in the lobby.
