Staybridge Suites Jackson, an IHG Hotel

Not happy. Room listed as a suite. So small we couldn't pull out the sofa bed. Pool was closed, which is no big deal, but with 4 kids and nothing staying otherwise, there was disappointment. Elevator broken. Room had stains all over. TV remote had dead batteries. When we asked the front desk we were told, "there is a Walmart up the road." All we said, " no, we won't buy batteries for YOUR remote." Very tiny room. Listed as sleeps 6, it was very very cramped. Would not recommend.

I didn't like that after check in I got the grandkids ready to swim and that takes a lot, bathing suits, sunscreen, etc. We went down and they excitedly jumped in and began to play. After about 10 minutes a man comes running out waving his arms telling them to get out! He had just put acid in the pool. Why was there no sign posted, the gate not locked, something to let us know to stay out! I got them out and in the shower. The lady at the front desk had no idea when it would be safe to swim. Why would you not put chemicals in the pool after swim hours? This happened at 3:30 in the afternoon. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was so the grandkids could swim. I ended up with very whiny, disappointed kids who were unable to use the pool.

Starting from check in the lady we were greeted by was pleasant enough, check in was fast and easy. The room though was not up to any cleanliness standards. There were multiple private part hairs in the bed and shower, the tile and laminate floors have not been cleaned in who knows how long, and the ac unit had old fries and what looked to be mold or mildew growing in it, which made the room smell. The hotel looks like it had been updated recently, but has not been cleaned since that update. For a family with a toddler wanting to play on the floor, it was not a good experience. Breakfast was decent but just the thought of how awful the room was made us question how clean the kitchen area was. My tip is to save your money and go 5 min up the road to Madison and stay at a hotel there. Much nicer area.

The hotel room was nice because we have a big family and they offer 2 bedroom suites. However, they offer smoking and non smoking rooms on the same floor so upon exiting the elevator all we could smell was weed. Our neighbors threw a party until 430 am and our alarm was set to go off at 6am. We did not get any sleep. It seemed like the locals were allowed to rent these big rooms to party in which allowed the travelers no rest for the next day

My family and I stayed there for a week and it was nice. The location is great. Close to food and shopping. My only complaint is housekeeping. No one came by to clean my room. When I asked, the guy told me it will be the next day because he had to go because it was Christmas Day and he had to go. He then agreed to clean the room, only to go inside and still complain to my husband about not wanting to clean the room because he had to go. And he still half cleaned the room. So rude and unprofessional.

Ms.Pat was awesome and the staff( cleaning crew) went out there way for us. We left the kids item in the room and they didn’t hesitate to take them to front desk. They were honest and helpful.

Was staying here for a football camp for my kids and had an excellent experience. We were glad to see a pool even though there were no pictures on the website of a pool. Staff was courteous and very kind towards my kids even though it was hard to keep them quiet at times. The food staff was above excellent. The only setback was the renovation going on and a few minor things that needed repair.

We loved our stay! It was great, kid friendly, very helpful staff. Would definitely recommend.

The room was comfortable and had everything you needed for a home away from home. Slept like a baby on the mattress. As a bed snob, I highly recommend it. The breakfast scones are super yummy. The staff was wonderful. Will stay again when I'm in the area!!!

Checked in with my 2 year old and my husband and upon arrival the hotel was dirty, hallways smelled like weed, trash everywhere and we didn’t feel safe. We were traveling to Florida from texas. This is not a safe place for families. We ended up leaving and stayed at the Sheraton. Front desk was very nice but overall it was a traumatic experience.
