This was a convenient location to stay the night for our trip to valleyfair. The breakfast was pretty good. For those curious as I was, they offer waffles (strawberry or original), precooked bacon, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, potatoes and scrambled eggs. They also have easy options like toast, bagels, oatmeal packets, cereal, yogurt and a couple other small things. Juice (mango, orange, apple and I forget the last option). Our family went to take a swim and unfortunately there was a family in there who were pretty obnoxious. Kids jumping, diving and splashing even though diving was against rules. They clearly saw how annoyed I was at one of their kids splashing my 5 year old after he asked them not to multiple times. They got me as well and I wasn’t too fond of it. The adults just chatting it up without a care of what was going on. One of the dads throwing his young daughter in the pool. Wish there was a member of staff there to watch how their pools are being used or at least a camera so staff can monitor it. There was a bit of hair in the bathroom when we checked in but no big deal. The hallways had this unpleasant scent but I guess you get used to it. Same as the hotel room. But slightly different smell. Hallways smelled like cigarettes and body odor. Unsure how to describe the rooms but it wasn’t as bad. The beds and pillows were comfy. Parking was easy to get into. Staff was friendly. Oh and water pressure in shower not great.

Chose to stay here for a family weekend to visit family in the Shakopee area. Staff were so so friendly and went out of their way to check in on our experience at breakfasts. You can tell there's a lot of care put into the inside of the building.
Rooms were comfortable for our family of 4 and pool was perfect temp for our kiddos :)
We will be back

Do NOT stay here! There is a reason Expedia has no pictures of the outside of the property. This used to be an econo long-term stay hotel in a crappy part of Shakopee. Apparently, someone got the rights to turn it into a Comfort Inn and Suites, but it is not of that known quality. Pets--including cats--are allowed in this hotel. So when you and your child have allergies and asthma, it's no place you would want to stay. Beyond that, there appear to be people who are still living in the hotel. The carpet has not yet been replaced. Our room smelled like cigarette smoke and the carpet smelled as if it were saturated with spilled beer. Fortunately, the front desk person was kind enough to give us an immediate refund once we began having asthma attacks and needed to leave. I will be contacting Comfort Inn and Suites corporate offices as well to let them know about the state of this hotel. There are many more negatives that I could write about. I just pray that people see this review before making a reservation here. I don't know how there can be any good reviews of this hotel. This is not a hotel for children, families, or business professionals. This was a disturbing experience and both Expedia Corporate and Comfort Inn and Suites corporate need to know about this hotel.

When we checked in the girl kept burping in front of me. She said II will give you a room where you can watch your car during the night. 1 st room smelled so bad, tub was dirty and mold on shower curtain. Switched rooms. Tub was still dirty. Hallway smelled really bad like someone was smoking weed. Manager said that she has a girl who burns sage. Why would you allow this as some people have allergies. In the morning we were eating breakfast with our grandchildren. Manager was yelling how she allowed this woman to live there 3 months and now wanted her out. A cop came and the cop asked her to hold it down since she had guest eating in her lobby. She did not hold her voice down at all. It was truly the worst experience I ever had in a hotel. We meet my son and his wife from Wisconsin there. They are in the hospitality business. They were also very upset at our stay. The manager took $25 off our bill. I won’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.

We spend the night here after our wedding because it was near the venue. The staff was sweet and friendly. Our friends and family who stayed also enjoyed their stay. Thanks!

Stay was good. All the employees we very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good! Kids loved the blueberry waffles! Room had an off smell, but got use to it. Only problems we had were that we were looking forward to the hot tub to relax and it was closed and My kiddo accidentally left her stuffed animals behind through a mix up. Pretty sure they were under a pillow or under the bed ruffle. I called when we got home 7 hours later they had not been found and people were checked in. Employee on the phone was very kind and understanding and I get it’s on us for forgetting the items, but hoping they turn up there soon!
